How should I get my hair cut

I am bored with my hair. It is long and dark brown. Any suggestions for how I should get it cut? I have colored it darker than my natural and like it, but the cut is blaaaahhhh. I pull it back into a ponytail most days, but there is no movement around my face and it is flat flat. I have some natural curl that ends up looking more unkept than curly.

Any suggestions?

She has a beautiful face, but I'm not diggin the hair. Ace, your is a lot like mine both in looks and how you described it. I think yours looks great too, but I am SO with you on the boredom thing. I've been thinking of getting something done with mine for AGES and I never do it. Scared I guess! I love the flippy-at-the-ends cuts, but I would never go short enough for that...hmmm. Dunno. Good luck deciding! M.

I like it as you are. But I'm not opposed to something new. It'll grow back at worst.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

I think side swept bangs would look so cute on your face! Also get the rest layered. Even if you put your hair up, the bangs will be there to add that cute touch.

Agreed! I was thinking of a haircut that Kelly Clarkson had that was kind of chunky layers with the side swept bangs, and the OP kind of reminds me of having some of the facial features of her as well.

I imagine there's some better pics of her hair than this pic but it's a start: http://do.cun.jp/archives/img/050412_1.gif

It looks nice as is, but adding some layers and long, side swept bangs would give you a little more in terms of options but wouldn't be a drastic change so that if you hate it, you can always grow it out fairly quickly.

Yes.I agree to what everybody say here..it gives the illusion of slimmer cheeks with a cut that sports layer, ask your hairstylist to slice in layers that grase the areas between your cheekbones and jawline,.. and do add some highlites to your hair and voila! a new you! ;)

Your so pretty! post a pic for us once you decide what haircut you make pls..

For the people who said I look fine just the way I am, thanks!

I am just bored. I cut my hair chin length in March of last year and it has finally grown out and I am back to the long hair I love, but there is just no style. The color added excitement-it was kind of a mousy light brown before.

I actually have looked at pictures of Kelly Clarkson! People have said that before. Others have said Amanda from What I like about you-has a similar face shape, but every picture I have found of her she has long flat ironed hair and that is what I am trying to get away from.

BTW, I straighten my hair--which is so bad for it, but I can't manage it any other way--I wonder if there is help in a cut would help with that or one of those new perms that just adds waves.

I have an appointment at 4 today

Thick bangs or whispy?

Layers in just the front? or throughout?

Thanks for the help

This is a picture of me at the liberty bell. This is as excitin' as life gets! I want some edgy or funkyness to it- but classy because I need that for my job--I just want a style.

Thanks guys!!

I am a Hairstylist. I like the picture of the girl in the black shirt. Get a few more layers around the face, and in the crown. It will give you more body on top. Just pick up your length a little, the layers will be a nice enough change. You can always take it shorter it later on. I like how her bangs are longer too. You can still tuck them if they are in your face. Side swept bangs would look good, but if you aren't used to having bangs (or fringe) they can drive you nuts.

if you followed the thread about going *poo-free, you may be able to manage what you have better. i know i cut my hair for the same reason (boredom, putting it back in a pony tail, etc.) then i went poo-free and i really do regret cutting my hair. my hair bounced back like crazy and now i am growing it again.
