if thats suppose to be the case then this forum is a joke.

i was told to report the ban to admin to have it reviewed to see if it was fair.

i reported the ban notice like i was told to have it reviewed.

the same mod who issued the ban is the same one who reviewed it.

Not sure who you reported it to but there is only one admin. I know I wasn't the one who suspended you and I havent reviewed your account as well. I am happy to review but if you prefer it to be private you may want to email me at admin at this domain dot com.

Dude, I post in the most controversial part of this site nearly every day. I've only had one interaction with a mod and it was a slap on the wrist. Maybe you had a bad experience. Just let it go man, come hang out in the Current events and hot social topics forum and you can spew nearly all the ####### you want out of your mouth all day. We all do. You can even b1tch about the mods if you want.

i am averaging a ban for every 5 posts.

Upper forums are for immigration specific routes only. "Life advice" is rarely allowed. In the forum I mentioned you can post or respond to articles about lots of different subject matters. I'm just saying try it out. You may like better and get in less trouble.

You may not understand how the moderation function works. The posts of yours that have been removed were reported as inappropriate by other members on Visa Journey by clicking on the report button. The report button creates a report in a Report Forum which is accessible to all members of the Moderation Team and which we most of us also receive as emails. The first moderator who is able to respond to the report, responds. During certain times of the day one moderator might be more available than another, and since we are all volunteers, we fit in our moderation duties around our real life responsibilities.

That being said, while it may be the same mod who responded each time to the report, it is not only one mod who makes all of the decisions. We all receive and read all of the reports. If there had been a problem with the choice of action, rest assured this would have been addressed behind closed doors between members of the Moderation Team. The Report forum also generates a 'paper trail' so to speak, so all mod action is logged and permanently accessible by any member of the Moderation Team and Administration.

So, reviewing that report forum I can see that two different moderators actioned your posts and each suspension was for TOS violations of personal attacks and abusive posts against other members, including 2 right after being warned not to repeat the violation. The posts that were removed were abusive comments and personal attacks directed against other members, including members of the moderation team when you objected previously to having posts removed.

if you wish to participate on Visa Journey, then you need to abide by the Terms of Service to which you agreed when you became a member. Thousands of our members have no problems posting politely and courteously. We do not go 'patrolling' the forums looking for violations; we respond to reports, so in each and every case another Visa Journey member had problems with what you posted and reported it to the moderators.

If you do not wish to have your posts removed then do not make personal attacks against other members. It is as simple as that.

You do have the right to request another moderator to review any action that has been taken, and I have now done so. If you wish to have the Site Administrator also review these actions, you can certainly request that as well.

John, the above is true in spades. I dimly realized it before I was appointed as a Moderator, and "now that I are one," there's zero doubt.

Please re-read the constructive advice that folks have given you here in the Site Discussion forum (a couple of threads). No need to bang your head against a wall if there's a way around and beyond it.

The quoted post was a return to a subject matter where you had already been somewhat more vocal and been told by a responding moderator responding to reports to stop the personal attacks. Instead, you chose to ignore the warning and returned to continue your agenda against the other member. You were suspended because you chose to ignore a warning and continued to post when you had been told to leave it alone.

what planet are you on where it is acceptable for moderators to abuse their power and delete posts and nothing should be said or done? i'll stop when i feel the problem has been addressed, it obviously hasn't as they continue to justify what they are doing. you say focus on helping others, what about people who are being victimized by immigrants they don't matter to you? anytime the subject comes up the post is deleted and the poster banned.

I'm closing this thread. Please contact me if you want a review. I think I am being fair. Complaining here isn't helping you win your case.
