L1b ( work) visa extension in US consulate in Amsterdam

I apologies if this is not the correct place to raise questions but can anyone please share their experience for an L1 b work visa extension please?

Thank you so much for your response.

My company lawyer has prepared all the necessary document already and states that it is possible to apply for an L1B

extension of status with the USCIS while i am still in the United States. However, they also said USCIS is scrutinizing these cases much more carefully than they have in the past and requests for evidence and denials are becoming increasingly common. Hence they suggested applying in person at the US Consulate in Amsterdam ( I am a Dutch citizen) it would be a safer option. Their comment has just made me a little concerned and I wanted to know if anyone can share their L1-B Visa extension interview experience at the consulate in Amsterdam.
