I just want to know if i can bring with me my husband in US? My husband is a converted muslim on 2007 but on 2003 he was married in church(catholic). they separated but not legally. We got married in islam rites on 2012. What are my chances of including him in my petition? I am applying for EB3 immigrant visa. thank u

On the forms, your husband will be asked if he was previously married. Any previous/past marriages should be supported with annulment or divorce decrees to show that the present/current marriage is valid.

I believe a church wedding is legal in the Philippines, thus he is legally married to his ex and not legally married to you. As Milimelo said, you need to get that fixed (annulment inn the Phils, divorce if he lives abroad now), then get legally married to him before he can be petitioned. A change in religion does not make previous marriages invalid/

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

I'm a little confused but because you stated he converted to Islam after the first marriage I am assuming that because of it your referring to the 4 wife's allowed in Islam.........the USA only recognizes the first marriage until he is divorced legally from his first wife and you and he remarries you can not include him in any petition for relative visa

I am under EB3 visa immigrant application and I wish to bring with me my husband in US. We were married in islam rites and obtained marriage certificate on 2012. He was converted to islam on 2007. However, He has previous marriage when he was still a catholic on 2003. What are my chances of bringing him with me. Worried that it might cause trouble. Please help...

On well in your case you need to get an annulment since he is married before.

April 19, 2013 - submit the form I-130

April 22, 2013 - Receive the NOA1

July 29, 2013 - Approved NOA2 ( 82 working days)

July 30, 2013 - USCIS shipped my documents to NVC

Aug 5, 2013 - Arrived at NVC Building

Aug 13, 2013 - Got the NVC case # via PHONE

Aug 14, 2013 - Got the Invoice # via PHONE

Aug 15, 2013 - Send my DS-3032 via Email

Aug 16, 2013 - AOS Pay

Aug 17, 2013 - Got an email to print the COVER SHEET

Aug 21, 2013 - send the AOS overnight at NVC

Aug 28, 2013 - Accept the DS-3032

Aug 30, 2013 - IV BILL pay and Documents Sent to NVC receive the checklist AOS.

September 19, 2013 Sent back the checklist

September 20, 2013 Sept 26, arrived @ NVC

Sept 30,2013 - already encode to their system
