Is this the dreaded ISL AP?

My wife had her interview a few days ago at ISL. It was quick, and everything seemed fine. After a few questions, she was told "congratulations, you will receive the passport in a week or so."

I went on the CEAC website shortly after, and it says Administrative Processing. What does this mean? She did not receive any colored forms, or 221g.

L37 no need to worry about ! just wait for a month or two and you will get the Visa !

they are doing this to almost every one . As we had the same situation as well as few more members here . No colored Slip nothing !

Consular Congratulated and told us that you will get your passport within 7 to 10 days .

We just got our passport today exactly after 2 months.

So no need to worry about just relax and enjoy !

Most of the time people get their Visa within a month.

So just pray thats all !

It starts like this:

"Your visa case is currently undergoing necessary administrative processing. This processing can take several weeks. Please follow any instructions provided by the Consular Officer at the time of your interview. If further information is needed, you will be contacted. If your visa application is approved, it will be processed and mailed/available within two business days...."

It can take somewhere between 2 weeks to 3 months or more. I'm still in AP and it has been 2 months....

If they gave her a token (its a slip with a number on it) that's a good sign it is used to Clame the passport from the courier service. That means it won't take long.

every case goes through AP even if it was approved.. AP is a very broad category and can apply simply to the process of stamping the passport with the visa

if they said yes approved and took the passport it is a GOOD thing

either way once in AP, yes it is the dreaded wait
