I did my biometrics on the 10th of September, today i checked my online case and now it says Request for Evidence and that they mailed me a letter on the 11th of September. Can someone tell me what experience they had, if it delayed the process. Could it be that something is wrong with my biometrics, since its so short after taking them. I am just worried, havent received a letter yet and read in other Forums that it could take up to a week or 2 to receive them.

Your timeline says you are not adjusting status from a K1, but another visa. What visa is that? Most in this forum are K1s and about half don't have to interview. It is random who does and who doesn't. You will have an interview if not a K1 visa.

An RFE is like hitting the pause button on your case until you respond, so yes a delay for that amount of time.

A Travel/Tourist Visa. I didn't know where else to post my Question. Oh gosh, now i have to wait till letter gets here, which is probably 1 or 2 weeks, what i read in most cases. :( I just hope it is nothing big so i can just send it back right away. And still scared, that i cant do it in this Timeframe. If its a RFE for I-485, my I-765 is still being processed or? Sorry just really nervous at the moment, because i thought i had everything together in order :/

This is the forum for adjustment from work and tourist visas. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/130-adjustment-of-status-from-work-student-tourist-visas/

There is good info in this current forum about forms and documentation so keep reading. But there are things that may not apply to you....like getting to skip the interview. Or not seeing a civil surgeon for a medical. You could get confused or mislead on a few topics.

Once an RFE is issued then all processing on that case stops until a satisfactory response to the RFE is received. If an unsatisfactory response is received, or there is no response at all, then the case is denied.
