My congrats to those of you that reported being recently approved, it must be such a relief and a wonderful feeling. For the couple who got denied I am really sorry. I'm sure we all agree that it is frustrating to have to convince someone who's never met you that you are in love and want to marry someone. I hope it all works out and each one of us can move on and have a great future.

Best to all of you and continued luck.

My husband and I have a 30 yr age differenc me being the older one. It was never brought up for the K1. We are getting ready for his AOS and I am a bit nervous. We did not have a big wedding. We had a nice marriage party at our house. Because this whole process, including several trips to Turkey and the attorney etc cost over $10,000.00 . We did not want to waste money on something that just was not important to us. We have a nice trip to Spain planned with my brother next year. That is how we like to spend our money but the USCIS may see it different.

I was very surprised that my wife in China brought tons of evidence of a bonafide relationship, but the interviewer didn't look at anything nor did she ask many questions. There were just about 5 simple questions from the biography form and she was told she was approved. I guess it's up to the interviewer and their mood at the time how tough they want to be.

Well it sounds like your wife went prepared which is good. You are right though, its totally up to the discretion of the interviewer. I hope we have the same thing happen to us as was in your case.

My fiancee had a ton of info and proof of a relationship and she wasn't asked for any of it either. She was mainly asked how we met, etc.

We actually met in person in a different country we were both working so maybe that added a little credibility.

We had a wedding in SA but it wasnt legal in the usa so we had to file a fiance visa ...we never got the visa because the interviewer said i should have come to nigeria and met his family and since i never met his family in person just on video call she thought the wedding is a sham ....and the fact he has never dated older women

I'm really sorry this happened to you. Is there any way to appeal this? I mean affidavits from various people, pages and pages of emails and chats, pictures and receipts sound like more than enough info to prove you have a relationship. I don't see how its possible to say this seems fishy. Who cares if he's never dated older women, what does that have to do with anything? Again, I'm sorry and I hope that there is a way into finding out if something further can be done in your case, best of luck and keep us posted.
