Feel sad and confused, Received a "notice requesting additional evidence and/or information in this case" in an email. What does this mean? Can anyone who has received one of these shed some light on this for us. We haven't gotten the actual notice in the mail so I don't know what to do next, Is this a bad sign? Is this typical? What evidence are they looking for? HELP!

It is what is referred to as an RFE, happens quite frequently. It can be a request for many different things. Nothing to worry about until it arrives and you can read what they are wanting.

It just means you forgot to include something in your package, or what you included didn't tell them enough about something, or you included everything and they just missed something and are asking for it again. It isn't a big deal, lots of people get them. A lot of people have gotten them regarding the I-864 during the AOS process but you will just have to wait and see when it comes in the mail what they want. Don't worry about it, just give them exactly what they ask you for in the letter.

yes, don't worry...just wait until you receive the RFE in the mail-then you will know more...

And do one thing: submist EVERYTHING thet need ASAP...I waited way TOOOOOOOOOO LOOOOONG!

I felt the same way when I got the e-mail. But after. O realized it's not a big deal, lots of people get these RFEs. Mine was for tax returns that we already sent, so we just sent it again. That's all.

Just wait and see what the notice says. I got an RFE for tax returns and employment letter too, even though I had sent them already. Keep your fingers crossed.
