There is no "thing" other than posting at the same time. If it's acceptable for you to do it to others, it's acceptable for other people as well.

I am retired and probably post more than any one here, so naturally i respond to a lot..You may post as much as me,so it's natural we respond a lot.to each other. The NB and Penny jokes I find amusing but all in good clean fun.

I admit I clown around a lot, and even take positions I don't personally hold sometimes to be a jester

I also admit my proof reading and typing skills suck..I laugh at my self all the time

I admit i got lucky when i made the creppy typo and found a street slang word..ok busted

But in all honesty the way that guy comes after me with all the personal insults, every time we spar a bit

My only issue with any of that is the personal insults thing. I don't think he's said anything to you that you haven't said to me, or him, or Big Dog, or val, or whoever else you disagree with about something.

Once again--Maybe in the distant past,maybe when tempers flared, but not on a constant daily basis,to almost every post we make.

There you go with the more than one thing..You are right, there is an ideological divide and those on the left and those on the right generally lampoon,each other.No real news there.

you are right several of the progressives and I spar.Generally I don't get snarky unless someone gets snarky with me. Several liberals I get along with just fine

You are deflecting. "I only do it because they do it first" isn't a valid excuse. Participating in behavior that you turn around and claim to not like doesn't make sense, regardless of 'who starts it'. That's all I'm trying to say.

Who just follow people (me, specifically) around. You don't value their individual opinions or respond to them, you'd rather simply imply they don't think for themselves.

It sounded like the cop wanted to question the guy and the man would not stop and answer his questions...... and you know how cops get when you don't bow down...... THAT set things off.
