It seems as so you guys got your interview date around 4 months after you changed to Testing and Interview. I'll be coming up on two months in a little over a week, so if that timeline stays the same, hopefully I'll hear something around the end of July. Because of the recent updates, my wife and I think we're going to hold off moving until the end of August, fingers-crossed, we receive something by then. The house we are living in needs lots of repairs and isn't going to be sold as fast as we were originally told, which buys us time. As much as I'd like to move to Portland asap, it wouldn't be worth it to go through all the complications of changing address just because we were impatient and wanted to move a month sooner.

If anyone gets anymore updates on interview dates, or knows of anyone getting any, please share in this thread or message me! I'm trying to keep track as best as I can so I have a better idea on when to roughly expect getting mine and therefore plan the rest of my life accordingly :P

Good luck and congrats to you all! Post your experiences if you are so inclined :)

Timeline

Hi All - This is my first post.

Background: We are same-sex couple (American and Indian). Met in India in April 2007. Husband moved back to US in Oct. 2007 :crying: .Traveled back and forth on B1/B2 till 2010. Moved to Atlanta in 2011 on F1 (Emory). Graduated in May 2013. Was on OPT EAD and working since June.

DOMA repealed in June 2013 :-). Married in California on 19th Sep. 2013.

Filed for AOS in 1st week of October.

Biometrics 1st week of November.

Testing/interview since 14th November.

EAD/AP 1st week of December.

On April 16th received the following mesage "On April 16, 2014, we mailed you an appointment notice for an interview for May 22, 2014. " :dancing: :dancing: :dancing:

Happy and excited now

Hi All - Had my interview this morning at 7:15 am (May 22nd).

Approved on spot in less than 5 mins.

The IO was really sweet and respectful.

He just checked our IDs and asked Yes/No questions on form and took my I-94.

He also said that we have sent lots of evidence and everything was in order so it was easy for him to go through.

He asked if I want to give any other evidence to go in the file, so I gave him our 2013 joint tax return.

He gave a letter saying that my PR was approved and I should get it in mail in 10 days. Also, explained about the removal of condition in 2 years.

I had a carry on luggage and two extra bags with evidences (photos, utility bills,.......) but did not have to open it at all.

We came out really happy and excited and left for our work.:dance::dance::dance:
