Hey guys

We just completed the biometrics for the AOS in Atlanta. yet we did not switch into interview/testing phase. Does this mean that our AOS will be processed in Atlanta? I know that some of them are being waived and do not have to have an interview. How do I know if my case will be processed in Atlanta? The waiting period in Atlanta is VERY long compared to other offices...

Hey Michelle! It will take some time for them to update it to "Testing and Interview". Just keep on checking the case status online. Yes if you did your biometrics in Atlanta then your interview should be in atlanta as well.

After your case status is updated to "Testing and Interview", it will take about 4 to 5 months for them to give you an appointment date. They notify the interview date a month in advance.

I was trying to line up the timelines because I went to Testing and Interview on March 26th, 2014 but I didn't have any RFEs and according to your timeline you had an RFE but you also filed at the beginning of January.

I guess they have moved to January filers? Which is great cause I filed on February 4th so maybe I won't have much longer to wait! But that is sort of weird considering this past month a bunch of November filers finally got their interviews.

A friend of mine filled at the same time as me plus RFE. She received a interview waiver. I don't know what is going on in Atlanta and how they sort or schedule their interview dates, but it seems like they just taking files and schedule it.

If she adjusted from K-1 that might have been why she received an interview waiver.

I feel like they have to go in order by month, they couldn't just skip all the December 2013 filers. However, maybe they got their interview dates and it just so happens that nobody in this forum filed in December thus why it seems weird.

I could be mistaken, but I think they go by priority date for interview scheduling (see NOA1 from priority date). Thanks to a RFE, people that filed after us went to T&I before us, but our interview was still scheduled before them.

How do you know where you fall in regards to priority date? If you have a link to that information, I'd appreciate it! I couldn't find anything concrete.
