Thank you so much to everyone who posted with suggestions. I truly appreciate everything. He woke me up early this morning and we drove to AMA in Accra and just got married and I will file for CR1 when I return. He was so disappointed yesterday and I felt so bad for him but we rebounded and I honestly believe that everything happens for a reason and in its own time and I am very happy at the moment and know this is my life-mate forever no matter what. One day at a time. We are both on a complete opposite emotional realm that we were yesterday at this time....God is great!

I ran across this link on hints for your interview for CR1 or K1 interview.

You need to make a record of everything on the day of the interview. Look for clues about what was wrong. Did you have an overly perfect petition , with the help of places like VJ some fraudsters are going overboard on their petition thinking it will seal the deal and causing an overly documented relationship to be a red flag. Which creates a tricky situation for high fraud countries.

This is true, sadly, and confirmed by our alleged CO on the other forum.

He specifically stated that front-loaded petitions are looked at suspiciously by him and the post, which doesn't make any sense.

There is a potential CO on this forum? Please send me a link so I can read their posts. I need all the help I can get.

Not on this forum but another website, http://www.nairaland.com/1359935/u.s-consular-officer-ask-me

I have no doubt that he is real as he has been vetted by at least the moderator if not the owner of the site via a DOS email address, allegedly.

"Greetings! I am a U.S. Foreign Service Officer working in a Consular section in western Africa. I primarily handle Immigrant Visas and Diversity Visas. I've noticed a significant amount of discussion about visas on this website (yes, we read the websites smiley.gif) and wanted to give people the opportunity to ask questions."

In high fraud consulates you are dealing with persons that have no other clear path to the US, see getting to the US as a path to heaven and would spare no effect at snagging whatever visa they can get. We both know how many of the approved couples here don't make it to ROC as a couple because of fraud and I also know a lot of these people front loaded the heck out of their petitions. I still stand by the opinion that high fraud posts need the run fiance and marriage petitioners though a lie detector. It would prevent the false denials like you and I both worked through and stop the flood of fraudsters that are duping the consulate ( and usually a petitioner also )

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

Indeed! I am just flying blind and hoping for the best. We both wanted to get married and realized that we were letting someone tell us we could not do so and we did something about it. Now we just have to figure out how to live together in the same place. One step at a time. Sadly there are probably 100 people who were approved today in embassies across the world because they said the right words and looked the part. Oh, well!

He admitted in the posts that they realize that they sometimes deny qualified applicants and give visas to unqualified applicants too.

There was a documentary that we discussed on here of a couple that was approved from China, I think, that they couldn't even hold a conversation together without an interpreter.

I know you will but I need to say it, please be kind to your now Husband (congrats by the way), it's a psychological blow to get this denial after jumping though all the hoops and for months.

Hello everyone. Is it normal that my approved case be held for further security checks? My case was approved August 5th and exactly one month we received a letter saying our case is on hold because they have nt received security checks back. Am worried could anyone share his or her experience? Thanks
