Yeah, this does sound weird. I can imagine them being different at embassy level but for NBC? Nah.

So we can't trust tier 1, tier 2 or IO at info pass. So basically they want to keep us in dark and suffer until somehow we get our approval.

Spoke to tier 2 who kind of sounded like it was his first day. I asked for a service request and he told me he could not do one with my foreign address. Since the "zip code" here in CR is the same as one in NY, my case wouldn't come up for whatever reason. So I finally gave up and switched my address back to my mom's USA address. I mean because the whole getting-approved-quicker-because-I-filed-from-abroad ship has definitely sailed. He put in my service request and told me I should hear from them in 3 weeks.

I asked about processing times. The tier 1 told me they "no longer have a time frame". Yeah. I said I was almost at 7 months and she said that's in "normal" time frame since they no longer have one. Tier 2 told me wait another 1 or 2 months.

So basically, no new info just the regular BS to get you off the phone. At least the wait time today was *only* 45 minutes!

Did your Lawyer say why he thinks the K3 is coming back? I mean did he get a notice or hear something?

I've been thinking of cooking a Christmas Dinner for her family in China too. I dont think I've even seen a turkey there yet.

K3 hoping that it would trigger some action on your petition? hmmmm wondering why now?

I saw the email thread from another attorney. They printed it out for me since I was asking so many questions yesterday

The posted processing times for the K-3 is 5 months. Maybe because not too many filers lately. I don't care why. I'm hoping one of them comes through soon....at this point, the worst thing that could happen is they cancel the K3 ... right? I was told they are processes at different service centers.

American holidays are starting to flow into CR. My mother in law doesn't have an oven so my husband said we can order a pre-cooked turkey. Turkey is not a normal thing over there.

I'll do my best with what I have. I am bringing a suitcase filled with American food items that I haven't seen over there. Maybe I just never noticed, but it will save me a lot of time. I am so excited to cook for them. Everything I cook, they love it but my Mother in law always adds rice.... even when I make spaghetti. HAHA

my lawyer said they are starting to process K3's again....

2 ways I know of. Either; both live and filed from oversea or a F-2A. both are taking 2-3 months

You can scratch overseas filers from that list. The oversea filer thread is dead, along with the trend. A year ago, they were approved in a week. Six months later, it was 30 days. A few months after that, it became 3 months. The trend came to a halt in June, along with all other I-130's. Couldn't have filed at a worse time...

Week after week, I keep telling myself that it will begin. Well, I'm tired of waiting for I-130 processing to ramp up.

Sending out my I-129F in a couple of hours. Hope we have a shot at the elusive K-3 in a reasonable time frame.
