LoveMyTico we received the form for the consent thing coming from the senator. Which is better to fax it to his office or snail mail it? I am getting confused what to do now, my anxiety has been shooting up really bad.

fax it over..... I faxed mine and got a response a couple days later. All three times. Ask them to check the status every 30 days.... you have to email them to remind them, but they have your release on file. It is pretty fast.

I just told the senator that we need updates from our case because USCIS havent been providing accurate and constant information. We havent really told them to check the status from time to time though, will just see what the senator can do. If they will mail us a letter stating that it takes more time, will probably ask another government official for help.

fax it over..... I faxed mine and got a response a couple days later. All three times. Ask them to check the status every 30 days.... you have to email them to remind them, but they have your release on file. It is pretty fast.

You can get the consent form emailed to you then print, complete and scan then email back to the office! No need to fax it. I received the consent form, completed, scanned and returned it the same day and also got a response from the Senator's office that very day.

I would have scanned it but the security here at work wouldn't let me. Faxing was just as fast. I am sure their fax machine turns the document into something electronic and sent to a general mailbox.

One month ago I sent my documents, etc into my congressman to ask for help. Two weeks ago I had still heard nothing so I called to get an update. The guy wasn't there. Still hadn't heard anything so last Friday I sent in another email saying I wanted to confirm he got my info.

Got an email today saying the congressman has my info and will contact me when they hear something from USCIS.

hi! we already faxed it. In their email it says dont reply and they did not provide a different email address.

You can get the consent form emailed to you then print, complete and scan then email back to the office! No need to fax it. I received the consent form, completed, scanned and returned it the same day and also got a response from the Senator's office that very day.

Just got off the phone with a tier II officer. She stated that all NBC filers are waiting approximately 9 months now due to an "influx of I130 filers" since late last year.... Anyone else hearing this? What is the reason for all the conflicting information.

I feel bad for you guys..seriously. I am now on the phone trying to find out when NVC will receive my petition and assign case number. I've already started to gather documents so we can have a quick turn around time at NVC.

My petition took 8 months to process..exactly 8 months. My PD is January 14, 2013 and it was approved on Sept 13rd...so yep, the representative seems to telling the truth about the processing time being almost 9 months.
