I see just now, looking at the USCIS site, that the average time for the Vermont Service Center has gone up to 9.4 months, up from 8.4 months, up from 7.4 months, up from 6.4 months, up from 5.4 months when we first filed.

All I wonder is what on EARTH is going on? Does this mean the average time for people just NOW filing? Or for everyone in the pipeline?

It took me 8 months to get my petition approved. I filed January 2013 and it was approved just last Friday (the 13th). If you've been waiting for 6 months or more I would suggest contacting your representative in Congress.

Our attorney filed our i130 january too. we was approved june 14th. ..

It took 6 weeks to get to NVC , We got a checklist last Thursday 12th sept. they received back what they requested Yesterday monday 16th sept, and now we have to wait another 20/30 days to see if we get case complete !!!

Oh boy it is such a long journey to be back with my husband.

Good Luck with your applications guys.

You were approved June 14th? Not bad at all. Was it expedited? Did you file with an overseas address (not living in the USA)? Your case is now at its last stage at the NVC? That's a bit odd considering it was approved June.

I wonder why it took so long to transfer to NVC!? I hope they transfer mine faster. Don't holding my breath though, this is USCIS we are talking about.

Hey smoochies 2011 hang in there we will all get through this soon. My wife and son are in el salvador and i filed for them in march 19, 2013 and i`m dying to see them and hug them and just enjoy life with them but this waiting game is keeping me from all that. Whats worst is that where i work i only get 12 days a year of vacation time and its been now 3 years apart from my wife and 1.5 years apart from my son. I hope the good lord hears all our prayers soon and reunites us with our loved ones.
