I have my infopass today. I am going to ask about my case and then if I get the same stupid reply, I am going to ask them - why do you guys cash our checks so early if you do not want to fulfill your time commitments ..

I got an infopass today as well, I am not going to keep quiet on this issue, this is getting out of hands now...my case doesn't even show up online. The least they can do is provide us an accurate timeline. I am also writing to my senator and congressman this weekend.

Got my infopass done. The guy was completely unaware of what's going on.. I told him I can't check my case status online and he was like 'really?'

Then he created a service ticket for me and told me that somebody will contact me within a few days.

I asked him if he thought I was out of my processing time? He said the processing time is about 6 months. I said yea I know about that and told him that different officers have told me different processing times and I hope you are right. I couldn't take it anymore and left

This is bullshit - that's all I got to say

My petition was received in March. I'm also waiting on an approval. I was told that I should here something this month. I was told that if I don't get anything my the end of the month to called. Another time the tier 2 officer sent an email requesting a status be sent to me via mail I believe.

Hi Guys hang on in there, i KNOW EXACTLY how your all feeling i really do.

Our i-130 went in in Jan 2013, we are only now being processed at NVC. and our papers got to NVC on July 31st.

I totally agree with you all on how others are handed Visas so fast and us married couples it is taking forever - the time apart is dragging for both of you as is me and my husband.

I get mad and irate too with them - but what can we do really !!! absolutely nothing but grit our teeth and wait.

My husband rang them at USCIS 3 times a week asking them when and it took 6 full months for them to say approved on the I-130.

Now we keep waiting for NVC , oh and it took 6 full weeks for NVC to receive our file from USCIS - so yes i know what you are all feeling.

Thank the Lord for videoing on the net is what i say at least we get to talk face to face .

I havn't come to down your spirits but to say it is a long process right now as they are snails.

Occupy your time that is all i can say to you all right now.

I sympathise with you all as i am still waiting for case complete and my then interview date .

Hugs to you all and may God bless us all.

Our approval didnt show up on the USCIS site for a while after it was approved - they are very slow at updating that thing :(

I dont know how to deal with this anymore. It's like your being tortured before you get to be with your spouse. People keep on saying to be patient and just wait, it is easily said than done! I dont even wanna continue the process anymore, it's plainly stupid! Fiance are given more priority eventhough they are not committed yet, no offense to the k-1 people though.

Yea, I don't understand the reasoning behind approving the K-1s first. It is really frustrating to see all the approvals for them and nothing for the I-130s....

The only way this is going to change we have to start some political action group. I was thinking could we call the ACLU help start a class action lawsuit. Maybe can call it discrimination since we are all married to foreigners. I called my Senator and Congressman, done Infopass. Nothing has worked it seem the only thing that get there attention media. How about doing a lot of youtube spots explaining our stories. I filed in March 19 it seem everything has stopped from January 2013 for Married couples. If we do a youtube we should use just one channel maybe each day for a month a different person put up a video. If anyone else has ideas at least it better then just sitting and waiting. We have tried all the legal ways and channels we have been told we could use. We just keep getting the same answer ######### blablabla The other idea we should all put in change of address to oversea so it look like we are living out of the country. I wonder what they would due.

I wonder why data in this chart differs from data in the trend charts they post (i'm monitoring the one for Seattle here), the sum of Jan, Feb and Mar completions sums up to 1634 while this source only says 1121.

I'm the beneficiary.

....................................................................................................................................................................

Don't have a timeline? Don't know how to get started with it? Do it for the statistics sake: VJ video guide

Filing for a USC spouse visa (IR-1/CR-1) and not sure what comes next? Check out the VJ IR-1/CR-1 guide

Want to know what's happening with your case? Here's the USCIS tracking page (get an account and see if the case's been 'touched'!). Don't get your hopes up though, some cases never even appear there despite being successfully processed.

If they will tell us soon that they are still doing some backlog jobs, i'm so gonna blow up! I just noticed that some k-1 visa are received at NBC but usually they get transferred to a different service center. My friend's fiance filed last april, she was on K-1 visa and I think 2 months after they received a letter stating that their case will be transferred for faster processing. Imagine how absurd that is! My friend now will be doing the medical at the end of this month!

Yea, I don't understand the reasoning behind approving the K-1s first. It is really frustrating to see all the approvals for them and nothing for the I-130s....

My husband filed an I-130 petition for me and was received by the USCIS last March 29 & they sent us an email that our case was routed to the National Benefits Center for processing. It would be our 6th month now & our case was not yet send to a local office which is in San Francisco. What do you think are the reasons? If our papers stayed at NBC would it be process there? We have no request for RFE our papers are all complete.

It wont help to change your address to out of country, I am filing for my husband and we both live in CA. No NOA2 for us either...

This is only helpful if you know that your case has been transferred to local field office, in most cases it is still at NBC
