The way I looking at this it going to take two years. The only good is my marriage will be the same. So my wife will get automatic 10 year green card lol

is that really how it works? that is interesting!

What I can't, for the life of me, understand the logic that someone who is a fiancée gets preferential treatment (time-wise) over someone who has already made a legal commitment by marriage to their husband or wife. Not against fiancées, please understand....I just don't get the thinking.

It's such a cruel way to treat families. I know this whole process isn't personal, but good grief, this separation is so very hard. And also couples living together outside of the U.S., married or not, get processed faster. It just seems to me to be totally backwards.

I am starting to despair that this will ever happen.

I agree with you that it all seems very backwards. It's definitely disheartening at times.

It is so depressing to see how the processing estimate in my VJ timeline keeps going up, while K1 visas are being approved left and right.

WELL SAID AND SO VERY TRUE.... this wait is killing me. I have lost faith in the US... I get angry when I see all the illegal people in my town just going about their business... They get to be with their families, they get to work ( even though they aren't supposed to) they get to do everything the USC's get to do but my husband has to wait in his country becuase we are trying to do things legally..... It seems this country rewards the lawbreakers and makes the people who are following the rules just suffer. THEY DON'T CARE...

Now the Congress is threatening to shut down the Government this month. This will just give the NBC another excuse to delay our visas. Even though it shouldn't affect the process. I said this before two years I be married before we get my wife and girls visa. Lol

Hubby called in today and was asking regarding the letter that we were suppose to received yesterday and sad to say the person told hubby that it might take a month for us to receive that letter now. I dont know, I just dont believe them anymore. This is just getting really miserable! I'm already losing hope with this visa process and not just that I'm already being skeptical with the information they are giving.

For anything they do, they ask you to wait 30-60 days for a decision or a letter. Even with the expedites. It doesn't suprise me.... It is so sad that we are all made to wait to be together.

I dont know how to deal with this anymore. It's like your being tortured before you get to be with your spouse. People keep on saying to be patient and just wait, it is easily said than done! I dont even wanna continue the process anymore, it's plainly stupid! Fiance are given more priority eventhough they are not committed yet, no offense to the k-1 people though.

They are fools and are proving it by issuing faster K-1s than approving 1-130s. Suckers..

They surely are! I don't know if they are just plainly brainless or probably they have a good reason for it like earning more money coming from the k-1 visa!

I just know it's breaking some marriages and families!
