If it hasn't been posted, there was a member from feb that was approved on the 5th.

So, looks like USCIS is taking some actions on I-130s and there seems to be some light at the end of the tunnel.

Little information about my infopass appointment today:

Appointment was at 8:00 AM and was called about 8:15 AM. Officer asked me why i was there. I said why i was there for. He looked it up on the computer and said "Did you receive an RFE?" "Did you change your address?". No, no RFE or change of address, been living in this house for 10 years now. He paused and looked at another screen, "Is your wife overseas or here in US". I said, overseas. Then he said, "I am wondering why it hasn't been touched since July 11th, it is just sitting in the mailroom".

Then I said, "That is exactly what the problem is...this file is just not moving". Then I asked, "What is your normal processing time?" He said, "supposed to be 5 months but you are on a 6 months mark and wondering why you haven't received anything."

Then he asked for my phone number and email address and told me that he would contact me within the end of this week.

Yeah, like that is ever going to happen.

These folks are absolutely worthless, they are very quick to collect the fee and then abandon the process. I am very upset with this agency, once someone said "Government is not the solution, Government IS the problem." it is so true. I just shook my head and left his office. We need someone to walk into that so called mailroom and start piling these petitions to someone's desk. Do papers decay? I am wondering if my petions is going to staty in that mailroom and decay and would have to file the petition once again.

Have another appointment and try again in a week to verify if he was correct. I bet you the next officer will tell you different story.

Unfortunately we believed and supported the change that was bad for us. I am guessing as it seems like since last August 2012 the system is broken.

Politicians broke this system for their personal benefits and as a federal agency no one is asking the USCIS what they are working every day. At least seems like that.
