Went to infopass today. The lady's statement is different than the one last week (LAst week the other lady told me that my files was moved to "File room"on August 16 where it waits for the officer to be assigned) . This lady told me my file is sitting at NBC and no one looked at it since March 13, 2013. It is waiting for someone to look at it.

She said my file is still in normal processing time as normal processing time is 8 months now. I asked her if they are starting the new processing center in Missouri from September to process I 130. She said she has no knowledge of it.

I feel bad for you. The misinformation and inconsistency is laughable and embarrassing for this agency. I think I've pretty much given up on this and will just wait until they approve it. I am tired of calling and I won't waste my time and energy driving to the local office.

My priority date is January and still no decision and September is just a few days away so I will reach the 8 month mark. Let's see what happens. I am not holding my breath.

I talked with my senator's office today. The lady told me that march filers are still under normal processing times. I asked her when will we be out of the normal processing time period? She said after 5 months. So I asked why this much delay? The lady told me that USCIS is a fee based agency and the government doesn't fund them so they can be slow and we cannot do anything.

This is f**** madness.

They told me yesterday that 8 months is the normal processing time. They told my congresswoman a month ago that 1 year is the normal processing time.

Guess they can't make up their mind.

I agree with everyone our government has no accountability. The websites say normal time is 5 months. Now that big companies want to bring in cheaper skilled labor. Watch how fast they get there visas. We the normal people continue to be put last if you follow the rules. We need a big political lobby group. If this is example of what everyone who wants to come to the US. This is why there are so many illegals.

I talked to both my senator speaker of the Senate and my Congressman who is on the immigration committee. They both contacted Immigration were told 12 months and you could start calling after 6 months. I'm thinking of moving to Brazil where my wife is and filing from there. It will probably get processed faster could only take two months. Like most the people living together overseas. It seems they are suffering more than us who are separated in the US Lol

I am planning on going to India in October. I applied for the Leave of absence, but still not approved. Hopefully it will be approved and I can go see my wife.

Just spoke to tier 2 rep. He told me my case is still pending at NBC and It can take up to 6-8 months for this process to be done. He told me to call back after 2 months to inquire further. So basically I received the info that I already knew, and nothing new. Looks like since march when they received my file, it has not even been touched and it is piled up somewhere in NBC along with many other.

It is not our problem whether the USCIS is government funded or it funds itself with the fee collected from our hard earned money. All we need is a service that we paid for; in a timely fashion.

I wish I was a law major when I did my masters, I would have taken this heartless agency to Supreme Court...well I would have lost the case anyway because this wait time would be required for the sake of National Security I guess.
