Ok so I called the USCIS twice, yesterday and today to get a status update on my case since I cant view it online. Yesterday the tier 2 told me that he will send a message to the person who's handling my case (means my case was already assigned to an immigration officer, right?) and he then said to wait 30-45 days for decision. Now a while ago I called them again just to be sure, Spoke to another Tier 2 and then told me that my case was still pending and still at NBC and wait 30-45 days for decision. I got 2 same answers to wait 30-45 days. Hopefully its true smile.png

When you say 'a while ago' do you mean as in today 'a while ago' or when? (o.O)

I'm the beneficiary.

I asked the Tier 2 today, and he said my case was not transferred to a local office and was still at NBC

8/26/2005 - Became a couple back in college
12/29/2012 - Got Married
2/28/2013 - Filed i-130
3/05/2013 - NOA1 Received ( Missouri Service Center) NBC

A VJ member got the PCC within an hour. Better to get PCC after receipt of NOA2 as no one can predict how long it will take to get NOA2 and how long before the interview will be scheduled. If you get PCC now, its validity may expire by the time you have your interview and you will have to get another one anyway.

thank you for your advice, i was hoping to cut down that week or 2 on mailing time...

press 1 for english.

when asked if you want to check ur status press 1.

press 2 when they ask if you have the recept number (meaning u don't)

dont enter the number if they ask again enter the option for no .

then you will be connected to a live person. but the first person you are connected to is not tier 2 officer and will give you the same inoformation that you already have or know. They will ask you couple of questions and ask your case number. you can give that to them then. after that you can ask to be transfered to tier 2 officer politely.

I talked to tier 2 immigration officer today. he told me that he is saw some activity happen on my case in june and I should wait and allow USCIS to process the case.

FYI: My situation is same as a few of you.. I cannot track my case status online and I received NOA1 on march 11th.

So when I got a call from senator office I told her that I have an info pass appointment this Friday.

she told when i go to info pass appointment i need to tell the immigration officer request to have a file transfer to local office

any suggestions should I do this

I think it depends on how busy your local field office is. If its not as busy as the NBC than it can be a good thing.

I called today and talked to Tier2.She said my case is pending and when I asked when will it be assigned to anyone? She repeatedly said it takes 6 to 8 months.

Sorry, I would tend to disagree.. There are still a ton of Feb filers that have not been approved..including myself...But yes..do agree..hopefully august is everyones month!!

I received a notification from USCIS. It seems they are starting to transfer some cases due to workload. See below:

USCIS recently began transferring some casework within the service centers to balance workload processing capacity.
