Hey!! I'm doing good, I'm trying to get a hang of our present situations. Yeah! That's the problem we have to meet a certain threshold in order for our complaints to be heard, which is plainly absurd!! I knew there was a bill that was pass on about this...will try to do a research on it.

25,000 in a month? That's just stupid!!! That's unrealistic! Keep me posted for updates dilmera!!!!!

Good Luck!!! :)

@heytoot: Hello, I am fine. How about you? I did some searching and found 3 threads so far about the White House petition started by PantomimeGoose on 5 Oct, 2011, chuckchuck on 22 Oct, 2011 (for the petition by PantomimeGoose), and a more recent one by Robb&Ann on 25 Jan, 2013. Both the petitions lapsed because they failed to meet the signature threshold. PantomimeGoose said the petition needs 25,000 signatures in 1 month's time.

Sad thing is only Americans can sign these petitions.

I am not aware about the spousal visa bill, but you could check out these White House link to know about Obama's proposals:

CHonoré88 Your totally right, I completely agree on this!!! Everyone is already frustrated with the waiting period and if someone is being pessimistic about it, it just bring up the frustration even more!!!!!! just sayin....

Why don't you just let people be positive about their situation instead of trying to ruin their hopes or whatever you are trying to do with your comment...?? You shouldn't be so negative. Our time can come at any moment! So if people want to continue to check constantly and make estimates about when our approvals will happen, then let them. There is NOTHING wrong with that... Whether they are right or wrong is doesn't matter. Staying positive is the main thing everyone should be doing. wink.png

Well i'm sorry for trying to be a realist. I prefer knowing to false hoping. Maybe a miracle will happen to all of you, of course.

I'm the beneficiary.

Want to know what's happening with your case? Here's the USCIS tracking page (get an account and see if the case's been 'touched'!). Don't get your hopes up though, some cases never even appear there despite being successfully processed.

The difference between us (me and not you personally but generally people who oppose my approach) is this: while you may be disappointed and frustrated even more when it doesn't come through as fast as you hope, i may be pleasantly surprise when it happens earlier than i expected.

This is the Russian way for you: if you expect less and then something good happens - you're happier. If you expect more and it doesn't - you're unhappier than you could be.

I'm the beneficiary.

It makes sense what you are saying. I'm not going to disagree with that... but at this point I'm sure people realize that it will probably, more than likely take longer than that "6 month" mark that the USCIS tries to achieve. How long it actually will take, NO ONE knows. I'm not sure how anyone else is feeling, but my husband and I are just at the point to where we REALLY, REALLY hope our papers will get approved in the near future, but if not, we are prepared to wait longer too. You have to have your mind going both ways. 50% it could be quickly approved and 50% it could take longer than expected. Everyone should try to be prepared for either way. It is nice though sometimes to hear that people from the month before are getting approvals. It keeps our hopes up either way... STAY POSITIVE! smile.png

Oh, i'm not saying i'm not secretly hoping to have the case processed faster. Of course i am. smile.png I'm just prepared for both scenarios and i would advise everyone to be. This is not pessimistic in my opinion, more realistic.

And you can find the statistics here - i monitor them like every day. (Also as a little control freak i am, i have a special calculation where i count amount of non-DCF March approvals (but can't exclude expedites because they're not marked specifically in the majority of cases) and it shows 15% approved.)

You do got a point! If you kinda noticed most people here already have an idea that it's gonna take longer than 6 months, it's just that they are hoping that it will happen soon. I was frustrated at some point but I got a hang of it and it might not happen fast but I know someday it will, I bet everyone already realized that by now. But you do have a point when you said that " if you expect less and then something good happens - you're happier. If you expect more and it doesn't - you're unhappier than you could be."

Agreed. Thumbs up.

If you want to use numbers and ratios as an argument i think you should do the maths correctly. If you count incorrectly and get people's hopes up more than they should be - that's on you. If you can't calculate correctly - don't relate to the outcome as an argument.

I'm the beneficiary.

Sure does suck being a realist doesn't it? I was bashed on here a few pages back for being a realist. As you said and I agree, I think it would be better to be realistic than having false hope and be even more disappointed later. Just my 2cents worth. whistling.gif

I tend to be a realist too, my husband - he's the dreamer. However, even though I am a realist, everyone on here pretty much knows they are in for a long wait. So I prefer to just keep my realism to myself. I don't see any reason to rain on anyone else's parade so to speak. Just thought I'd throw in my 2 cents too. Wishing everyone a blessed weekend. It's about to be a new week and a new month....more processing to be done. whistling.gif

If we're still on the subject of me correcting the calculations with this 'rain on anyone else's parade' - as i said above, either calculate correctly or don't use it as an argument because it's misleading.

I'm the beneficiary.

i figure now is the good time because the pcc is only valid for 6 months and i will have it available before i receive the noa2. so shorten the wait time... thoughts?
