Why should it be on VJ organizers to do it? In my opinion, they've already done their bit by setting up the VJ itself (and i am very grateful to them for doing so). Timelines of processing however is a matter completely unrelated to them and varies over time. It should be the unhappy petitioners who should create a petition to Obama and spread the word. You can't prompt members to sign by site means - this is not even related to all the members.

Why should the VJ organizers do it? Because they are happy to help and so are most of the members. I am not imposing on anybody but merely asking a favor of the organizers to help spread the word of such a petition if there is one and direct the "concerned" members to the petition. The members may choose to sign or not.

Anyway, my request was to the organizers, thanks for expressing your views though.

Where do you even get this information? I mean even Igor's list (which from my experience is not 100% accurate) only shows like 55% of Feb approved.

Your estimate should also consider the amount of DCF and expedites among them. So i'd say it's still higher than would be realistic.

Why don't you just let people be positive about their situation instead of trying to ruin their hopes or whatever you are trying to do with your comment...?? You shouldn't be so negative. Our time can come at any moment! So if people want to continue to check constantly and make estimates about when our approvals will happen, then let them. There is NOTHING wrong with that... Whether they are right or wrong is doesn't matter. Staying positive is the main thing everyone should be doing.

Well that link actually came from somebody here on Vj that filed 2 years ago, I think. Well, the organizer here on Vj can't really do nothing regarding signing up for that one, unless they wanted to help though, We can actually create a new forum or somethin wherein we can ask help from people who are filing for the spousal visa or someone who filed the visa before and was having the same issue that we have now (if they even still care about that). But before we can do that we have to make sure that no thread is already created that contains the same thing. I just know it's not just the march filers who are getting frustrated and hostile, impatient whatever. But there are also some from the previous months having that kind of emotion and I'm pretty sure they would like to help in signing up for that one.

I even knew someone way back in the day that filed the same visa it even took them close to 2 years . Wasn't there a specific bill that was pass on regarding the spousal visa? But I don't know if it was even approved.

The longest period of time is waiting for something or someone you truly want. Isn't it? So, I really don't know what we can do for now.

@heytoot: Hello, I am fine. How about you? I did some searching and found 3 threads so far about the White House petition started by PantomimeGoose on 5 Oct, 2011, chuckchuck on 22 Oct, 2011 (for the petition by PantomimeGoose), and a more recent one by Robb&Ann on 25 Jan, 2013. Both the petitions lapsed because they failed to meet the signature threshold. PantomimeGoose said the petition needs 25,000 signatures in 1 month's time.

Sad thing is only Americans can sign these petitions.

I am not aware about the spousal visa bill, but you could check out these White House link to know about Obama's proposals:

It has been 5 months since my case was filed, but it does seem like forever. Hang in there, our approval might be just around the corner. A Feb filer was approved at 160 days on Aug 1.
