I have a theory that DHL is purposefully keeping the Costa Rican postal service incredibly sucky and unreliable. That way they can charge people $75 (yes, seventy-five dollars) to send THREE pieces of paper to the USA. ranting33va.gif

Anyways. New marriage cert with very explicit letter is on the way to my mom, she'll put in the RFE papers and forward them to TSC. I suppose they'll get them next week sometime. So perhaps I can expect approval in February? End of January if I'm lucky. (lucky... man how that word has changed... lucky would have been approved in under a month like some of the randoms from August and onward...)

Under review could be a good thing, I think. If you were told that they were already approved, then they should just be checking their work and getting ready to ship it out to the NVC.

Yes, hopefully that is the case. Will wait till tomorrow to before I give them a call again or write an email to service centre.

I just checked my online status and my parents just got approved!!! I don't know if calling last week or emailing USCIS and/or senators had anything to do with it, but fricking YESSSS!!!!!! My PD date is March 28th, so I am praying hard for all you March filers!!!

I-130 for both parents

March 28th 2013 - Priority date/ NOA 1
November 14th 2013 - Transferred to Nebraska Service Center

January 7th 2014 - Case changed online to approved for both

January 8th 2014 - case changed to shipped to NVC

January 9th 2014 - case changed to NOA 2 mailed

January 10th 2014 - Received the hardcopy of the NOA 2 stating that NVC would issue a case number in 30 days approx.

January 21st 2014 - Case Received at NVC

February 26th 2014 - Case numbers and IIN number received - Wrong embassy code assigned...now waiting for new case numbers.

March 3rd 2014 - Filled in DS-261 for both parents

March 5th 2014- AOS available, paid and submitted AOS packet.

March 6th 2014 - USPS shows packet was delivered at NVC

March 10th 2014 - AOS shows as paid in the CEAC portal/AOS logged into system as being received by NVC.

March 11th 2014 - New case number assigned for my Dad.

March 20th 2014 - Paid IV fee for my Mum.

March 25th 2014 - AOS accepted by NVC with no checklist.

March 26th 2014 - Filled in and submitted DS-260 for my Mum

March 31st 2014 - AOS found in my Mum's file for my Dad - accepted and placed into his file/IV fee available for my Dad and Paid.

April 1st - Mailed all civil documents to NVC for both parents.

April 3rd: IV fee shows as paid in portal/submitted DS-260 for my Dad.

April 22nd: checklist issued for civil documents - NVC error ...

April 23rd: sent another certified copy of my marriage certificate

April 24th: Case complete! :)

April 30th 2014 - Medical scheduled for parents at Knightsbridge in London

June 11th: Interview at London Embassy - Approved :)

Dilmera, those are the two. I am sorry if my comments caused confusion; I have been typing more of my thoughts lately and my blogs have been huge, I think many are finding them more confusing than helpful.

When I emailed the follow up address, I received that same reply you had posted like a week ago. But then another email came. It stated, as you got, the email address is not valid and to send inquiries to the second email address. But when I sent it there, there was no automatic reply at all.

Did you send your inquiry to the second email address? If you did, did you get an automatic reply?

I sent the e-mails to two addresses, nscfollowup.nsc@xxx (I don't remember the domain name and my mail app too doesn't show it, but one was @uscis.dhs.gov I think and the other @dhs.gov) and ncscfollowup.nsc@xyz. One e-mail address sent me an automated reply and for the other e-mail address, I got a message saying it was not functional anymore (same mails as you got) and to send mails to so and so address, but I didn't mail that address.

 

 

I'm the beneficiary, wife of USC.
12/30/2012: Got engaged.
1/16/2013: Got married in India.

I-130:
2/28/2013: Attorney mailed the I-130 from a U.S. address.
3/4/2013: Priority date, NOA1.
11/6/2013: Case was transferred to Nebraska Service Center.

1/6/2014: 60 days of transfer are up, put in an e-request, given 30 days' time. Contacted the senator. Senator asked to wait till Feb 6 and if nothing then she will do something.
2/5/2014: Website status changed to RFE.
2/10/2014: Attorney gets RFE. They need G325A and photos of both me and husband, original marriage certificate, copy of marriage record and it's translation.
2/15/2014: Mailed the requisite documents to husband.
2/19/2014: Documents received by husband.
2/24/2014: RFE mailed.
2/26/2014: Case status changed to RFE review.
3/6/2014: After 367 days, NOA2.

After approval kept calling NVC but NVC always had one reply, file was not in their system. Husband too called USCIS National Customer Service Center and was told case was sent to NVC.
4/2/2014: Write to NSCFollowup to know about the status of the petition.
4/10/2014: Put in a ?service request with USCIS starting with OVP to locate case.
4/16/2014: Reply from NSCFollowup that the U.S. law prohibited that office from responding to anyone other than the petitioner and to have the petitioner contact them.
4/18/2014: Sent email to NVC Research to locate the case.
4/22/2014: Petitioner sent email to NSCFollowup
5/14/2014: Receive email from NVC Research that they do not have a record of receiving the petition.
5/16/2014: Congressman's immigration caseworker contacted supervisor at NSC who said the petition is pending and will be dispatched in two weeks.
5/27/2014: Petitioner received response from NSCFollowup that the case was pending an internal extended review. Really?
6/19/2014: USCIS case status change, "On June 19, 2014, we shipped this case..."
7/1/2014: Case received at NVC.
7/14/2014: NVC case number assigned.
8/1/2014: AOS and IV fees invoiced.
8/2/2014: AOS and IV fees paid.
8/5/2014: AOS and IV fees status changed to paid.
8/6/2014: AOS and IV packages mailed, completed and submitted DS-260.
8/7/2014: AOS and IV packages delivered to NVC.
8/8/2014: AOS and IV packages put into the system (scanned).
9/20/2014: Get the 60-day email.
9/30/2014: Case Complete!
10/3/2014: Interview scheduled for November 7.
10/20/2014: Medical appointment.

11/07/2014: Interview.

Approved today FINALLY. RFE on Dec 16 from Nebraska
