I am assuming your 60 days have already passed since the case was transferred to Nebraska. Did you or your attorney tried to get in touch after the 60 days to find out what the hell is going on with your case ? And if yes then what did they say? Do they even have a reasonable answer how long more you would have to wait ? btw what does your attorney say?

Actually my 60 days aren't up yet. My petition was transferred on November 6, but the notice date of transfer is November 7, so tomorrow Monday, January 6 it will be 60 days for me and then our attorney will contact the NSC for answers or service request.

UGH! I had called them, after case transfer date, to find out what was going on with the case. That was when I was told the doubtful "line" about some cases are taking longer bc they are waiting for the beneficiary's country to send them info. Then, the Tier 2 continued to say, I can see some things are completed but some are not and the country police report is one of them, but she claimed she could not see the other portions that were not yet completed. Then, she offered to put in a request for someone to contact me about the status, a Service Request, and would I like to file one. She had stated it should be addressed within ten business days, but as we all know, that ten-day claim was not true. I asked if she would file the SR. She said she would once we get off the line. Therefore, I never got the number of it, nor do I know if it was actually filed. I felt it was a waste of time and did not insist on getting the SR #.

In a previous SR, when I would call back and give the SR#, (for a data-entry issue they made), the Tier 1's would always tell me, "I am sorry, but we cannot look up your info by that number, it is useless to us." They would ask me to give them my full name and spell my address every single time.

Then, how can I give the SR # when I email them. :(. Or do I have to make one on the 61st beyond transfer and then wait another 30 days?? Is this just another tactic of theirs to give them more time??? It sounds to be the latter to me. Errrg!!! Such frustration!!! In the past few weeks, I have seen the case right before ours get sent to NVC. The case rt after, got an RFE. Three cases after, sent to NVC. The rest of the surrounding cases are all "IN PROCESS". (Yeah, my eye, they are in process.).

Oh and about that first SR, I had placed, for the data entry they made, first they said, "if no reply in 15 days, call us back". I called, was told, "oh, I am sorry for that misinformation, but it can take up to 60 days for a reply. Please call back then." I called back. Then, I was told, "no, no, we are sorry for the conflicting answers, but we are so back logged with SR's that it will take double the time and you should hear back within another 60 days."

Maybe it would help with our frustration, (when they get so backlogged), if they would allow us to see what portions of our cases have actually been addressed and which are still pending. (Just a thought.)

Oh, hey, Dilmera, I just reread your entry and realized it says, "if a SR# was not issued, give the reason why". Okay, then I hope when I write the SR# is not required and a reply of, "please call and file a SR" is received.

(Sorry for my ranting and noncomprehension, it is quite early here now.).

I sent in our I-130 docs on March 21st and our NOA1 receipt date is March 25th with a National Benefits Center receipt number. On November 7 & 8th I received text & email messages stating that my case is being/was transferred to the Nebraska Service Center. I also received the 60 day waiting notice before calling for information.

I, too, am frustrated to no end with this whole process. When I first filed, I was hoping 5 months, then it was 7 months, now it is over 9 months and we're hoping we're extremely lucky and can get my wife and 7.5 month old son home by the end of May, 2014.

We are hopeful our case will pop up soon as being approved. Thanks to VisaJourney and all the members who provide their timeline information, we can at least tell that things are warming up toward the March filers :)

Congratulations Kaylara on that wonderful news!!! Here is the link to the January NVC thread http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/472916-nvc-filers-january-2014/

Everyone - something I didn't know before but do now is that once Texas and Nebraska physically mail out your petition to the NVC, your case status on the USCIS website will be updated again. You'll get another email or text letting you know. From what I understand, California does not do it, they just send them on out without an additional notification.

Took 4 weeks from approval for TSC to physically mail mine out!

Hoping everyone else receives their approvals right away!!

Yep, I'm waiting for them to actually send it out now! For those of you who are going to hit your 60 days tomorrow or this week, I strongly suggest that you email the service center directly, as well as the Service Center HQ and the Ombudsman. I'd also call and get a tier 2 and try to get a service request open. If you can't open a service request because they refuse to issue one to you, I think that you need to send that information to the Ombudsman and give the agent name and number along with the date and time you called. Then you should call your Senators and Congresspeople.

If you want, I'll see if we can help pen a letter to send out to the USCIS leadership again. Only, I think this is going to take a very concerted effort. I think that a letter needs to go out for each day that you're waiting beyond 60 days. A different letter each day, nonetheless. And it needs to be copied to the Ombudsman at the very least, but I also think that we should be sending it to ALL the congresspeople and senators.

Frustration is definitely seeming like an understatment.

Yes, let us pray we can be together with our loved ones so very soon!!!

You are absolutely correct, with the fact that, if it were not for the wonderful community here, things would seem so much worse. I probably would have been already transferred to the crazy house. Lol
