Finally! Got NOA2 today!! Last week was full of tears of frustration - today is of happiness and relief! I know it is still a long process from here...but I am unbelievably relieved to go to the next step.

For everyones sake I hope that this means NSC is picking back up on actually getting out some approvals!!!

I sent two passport photos of myself and two of my wife. Hope that was enough.

thats what Im saying... some people are getting RFE's because they want more passport photos. I don't even know what is on the instructions I gave 6 of each to my lawyer. I don't know what he sent.

You can bring a small photo book to your interview and show it to the officer. They may ask you questions about who the people are in the photos.

OMG, Texas is turning out so many RFE's.

I hope it's nothing huge. Most people forgot to sign a form or didn't include enough photos. You can look on the STUPID RFE THREAD. Its pinned .

From reading the old Ombudsman's reports to congress, I believe that Texas has had this problem before, and was actually being supervised because of it. I think that they thought that they'd fixed that problem, but apparently not. Perhaps we should use the spreadsheets to figure out how many people have gotten RFE's from Texas as opposed to the other service centers, and send that info to the Ombudsman so that they're made aware of the situation.

Anyone have an idea about what happens from this point after your approved papers get to NVC, time-frame-wise? I'm sort of clueless now, just waiting for a notice that NVC actually got our approved forms.

Where, also, shall we March filers go from here? Let's stick together goofy.gif because it's been immensely helpful! I'd have gone nuts without this forum. (Still might, though, lol)

You should call NVC and ask if they received your case. I don't think they send out a notice.

2014-07- 24 - The asst. at the senate responded immediately and contacted the USEM.

2014-07- 28 - Status updated still AP (received an email from the USEM, 1. Applicant, your case is ready to be issued, but your passport #********** needs to be cancelled first & returned to our office at your earliest convenience. Please contact visasbkki@state.gov to pick up your old passport to complete this step.)

2014-08- 14 - Status updated still "READY" I received an email from the USEM,We have received your said documents. Please be informed that your visa has now been approved. We are working with the preparation of your visa package and will mail it to the applicant address on GSS profile which takes approximately 7-10 days. Applicant should refrain from making any irrevocable travel arrangements until he/she receives.<p>
