That's what I thought I was seeing. To me it looks like anyone from the Philippines was getting their case pushed to the front of the line, regardless of whether or not they were directly impacted by the typhoon.

Maybe we can just chalk it up to most Americans being really bad at geography. tongue.png

maybe some requested to expedite but they should have verified the location of the beneficiary in fairmness to everyone who applied first.

i know the feeling of being left behind...but once you got your approval, the exctiement returns...just like giving birth...you'll forget the pain of labor once you see your child...

more patience to everyone....

*a bit of guilt coz were almost have the same timeline and stil you haven't had your approval

My PD is March 20, and I got transferred to Nebraska on the 7th. (1rst notice on the 5th. 2nd notice on the 6th. 3rd notice on the 7th. And my file hasn't been touched since the 7th.) It looks like there's a whole group of us from right around that time that are still waiting. If I read the former adjudicators information properly, there are about 50 files per box. Maybe we're all sitting in the same one. Perhaps we should compare our case #'s. In private, of course.

Don't feel guilty. You have nothing to feel guilty about. I'm not mad at you, I'm happy for you. I wish that we could all be so lucky.

I already went through a crappy immigration process when I moved to the Netherlands, and I haven't forgotten that. I don't doubt that there will be a bit more excitement because we've finally gotten over this hump, but I recognize that we're only on the first step, and there are several other hoops to jump through. In the meantime, he's trying to sell our house over there, and I'm trying to take care of the kids over here. I can't let myself get too crazy one way or the other because it makes my kids depressed, and then they wind up crying hysterically for hours. I don't want to do that to them if I can avoid it.

Good Idea, but do you really think they file them numerically? I mean, by the looks of things, they just throw them in a box... There doesn't seem to be any order to them. If they filed them numerically, then there would be more approvals in oder ( like it should be) IDK, it is so hard to figure this all out.

What I read on here, from that former adjudicator, seems to indicate that they are filed pretty much in date order. And that they had a first in/first out policy of dealing with the files. (With the exception of expedites and Congressional Inquiries.) Which is why I am having a very hard time understanding just what the heck is going on there. Did someone take our box/boxes and just lose them? Sign them out and go on vacation? Bring them home and just haven't done them yet? Perhaps the contractor that stages things for them is just ignoring our box(es)? Or are they shoved in some dark bowel of the service center? Who the heck knows. But something is seriously off.

I'm going to write the service center today to see if I can get any kind of information from them.

I did something similar. Mine ends in 309. #303 got approved 2 weeks ago, and #317 has an RFE from about a week ago.

No, they don't ship approved files Friday. I got approved on Monday and Tuesday my case was updated that they shipped it :)

Now I've been calling NVC everyday to see when I can get my case number because even though USCIS has my right address on file (I've gone in person to check), I've never received anything at my house.

Someone mentioned they thought they were at 650 of the last numbers in your application. My number is in the 400s no approval I am at NSC was sent on November 5. Sorry to spoil your theory or my applications at in a closet

FYI:

Tier 2, yesterday, said that the reason the cases are taking longer than others is bc certain countries take longer to send back the spouse's background check. I do not believe that and think it is a 'canned' reply. The only way it could minutely seem true is that certain countries seem to be getting approved more so than others. But the Tier 2 lost my confidence when she said that portions of our case is done but there are some things still pending. She could not see what else was pending, but she could see one portion pending is the background check. So, why can she see that but nothing else? 'canned' reply. And when I check the case online, it has not been 'touched' since the date of transfer

I doubt that's accurate. My husband is from the Netherlands, and the consulate there is fast, efficient, and very, very good. (I've dealt with them enough to know. The guards even recognize my husband and I. :P) We still don't have an answer on our petition. And if they were doing anything with your case, I believe that you would have seen the touch in your portfolio.

But who knows. They could be right, they could be wrong, and we'd never know.

I just sent the following email to the NSC. I will let you know if they actually answer me:

Dear Officer,
I am the applicant on the above listed petition. I would like to please verify that my case is physically present at the Nebraska Service Center. I received a transfer notice that stated my application arrived and is being processed there as of November 7th, 2013. Due to conflicting and confusing information I received form the USCIS's NCSC 800#, I requested a congressional inquiry into my case in order to gain some clarity on the situation. However, the letter I received from them stated that my file was transferred to Nebraska on November 11, 2013. My account on the USCIS website shows that my case has not been touched since November 7th, 2013.
In addition, my transfer letter states that my case should be adjudicated within 60 days following the transfer, however, when I called the NCSC, the automated message I heard when I inquired about my case says that I should be adjudicated within 180 days. I am very concerned about this, as there is considerable difference between those two time frames. My congressional inquiry gave me an entirely different time frame of 3-5 months of additional processing time. This conflicting information combined with the processing time tables (Currently stating Feb. 12, 2013) and average processing time of 7.4 months has meant that I have no clear idea about what is happening with my petition. As I've been waiting nearly 9 months for adjudication on my husband's case as of today, any further delay means that we will be separated considerably more than a year. This means that we will incur more emotional and financial stress the longer that we are attempting to maintain two households. As such, I would like some reliable information regarding our case.
In speaking with other petitioners regarding our stand alone I130 petitions, I have learned that there are a large number of people who were transferred to the Nebraska Service Center more than a month after my case was, and who are not from the Philippines, who have already received adjudication on their case. (Either an approval or a request for more information.) This is very concerning to me, and other petitioners who were transferred to your service center at about the same time. As per the information on the USCIS website, petitions are processed in the order in which they are received. In light of the self reporting of other petitioners and the other inquiries I've made, I am very concerned that my file may be lost.
Can you please verify that my case is physically present at the Nebraska Service Center? Can you also please clarify what further processing time I can expect?
Thank you, and have a nice day.
Sincerely,
Kaylara
