Did you contact both senators? Congressman? keep contacting them.

By the way guys, how long is the process at the NVC?

Yes. Been contacting all of them since Early September. Like I said, they've been useless in my case. It really has been a huge waste of time for me to continue having to chase them for shreds of information, only to find out that I'm more informed than they are.

I support this, and I can understand why people come here; to have a better life or be with the one they love, or both. This country was built on foreigners and immigration. If you are not American Indian then you or your family migrated as immigrants from somewhere in the world. It is one of the great qualities of our country. Many come here legally. Many come here and do the right thing, and have done this for hundreds of years.

But to live here is a privilege and if you want that privilege you need to abide by the laws. Get straight with immigration, pay your taxes, etc. I agree USC's should have priority. All people should be given respect, I agree, but if you are not here legally then you are? (other synonyms for illegal are: unlawful, illicit, illegitimate, criminal, felonious; unlicensed, unauthorized, unsanctioned, warrantless; fraudulent, corrupt; outlawed, banned, forbidden, prohibited, proscribed, taboo; contraband, black-market, bootleg; malfeasant). I typed "illegal" in Google and the first suggestion that came up was "illegal immigration." Call it what you want.

Another area which is not discussed is military service. I respect someone that joins the military, serves honorably and is granted citizenship. I also think that Veterans who left with an honorable discharge should be bumped in the USC I-130 line. I paid taxes all my life. I served honorably in the military. I served the government immediately after 9/11 for 5 years. Not asking for priority, but think i have earned it over someone who is not in the country legally under current immigration laws. You can disagree with every word I have typed, but thank any veteran for defending that right.

Just my two cents...[/quote

Amen to that brother. I don't know how illegal immigrants pay taxes but I do know some companies that hire illegal aliens and those guys do not pay taxes. To make it worst those guys use the illegals for manpower bids for contracts (landscaping) but when it comes time for taxes, they got like 5 people on paper paying taxes. Either way it is not cool. My only upsetting thing about them is I have met and known several of the "illegals". What is annoying is that they and complain about not being able to leave the U.S. and they misses their family. My response would be along the line of, if you didn't come here illegally then you could have returned to your original country and come back. I do not feel bad for them. My family immigrate here legally and we did things the right way so if they would have done it the same way my family did they could have.

Heck, my wife never been on U.S. Soil. I have been paying rent for two locations since 2011 on top of paying my taxes. Oh, did I mention I cannot claim her on my taxes also because she does not have SSN so I get absolutely no benefits of being married. Don't get me started on healthcare issues. As active military member, our spouse gets cheaper health insurance if they are enrolled in DEER. I can't enroll her in DEER because she never been in the country and the installation in Honduras does not support spouses. So i have been paying for her healthcare since 2011 as well. Last year she got sick and I had to pay over $1500 out of pocket because as far as that goes she does not exist on papers until she comes to the States. But we have illegal immigrants that can call an ambulance, get taken to a hospital and never have to pay a dime. WTH is that????

I wish veterans or Active gets the priority as well but of course we know that isn't the case. I wasn't that upset because I had to wait like everybody else but it wasn't until I get my deployment notice that I can my case expedited. So I had to wait 8 months-ish to get it expedited but by now I think I was about to be approve anyways. Now, I get my case expedited as a consolation prize because as soon as she gets here I have to leave for 6 months. Yaaaay. Hopefully NVC will be less painful. Good luck to you

There is no specific time frame for NVC. after they got your case, they will review it if you submitted all the documents they needed like Birth certificate etc. and after they checked it they will send you notice on how you will pay Visa fee. Well you can also track your case in the NVC on the USCIS dashboard. When you see that your case is on a "Post Decision Activity" that means your case is in NVC. Good luck.

I am also supporting two homes and my wife and two step children. It will be our first wedding anniversary in January. My wife and girls have never been here to the USA. I think the plenty for taking this long is instance green Cards. No interview just submit the D-230 and affidavit for support. Then our family gets visas. They have to wave the fees. If this was in place you would see applications processed in less that 2 months. I agree with you guy in the previous statement. Thanks for your service.

Thanks, my case does say "Post Decision Activity" so that means it is already at NVC, will I get to track my case there, in terms of activity?

Sorry there must be tons of threads on this

I was wondering after getting my NOA-2, what is next with the NVC.

For the affidavit of support, I have a family friend that is going to be my sponsor, what all do I need to get from him? Just last 3 years of his IRS Tax Return (1040) or do I need anything else from him? Would highly appreciate someone's help on this.

Also when they send out the form (I think DS-3032) do they send it to both petitioner and beneficiary? So me being the petitioner, if I turn it in, meaning I would be the choice of agent right?

Last question, does the NVC need my wifes police record, will they ask for it? Also I have read that they want birth certificate, marriage certificate, wouldn't they get all that from the USCIS? What else should I get prepared for the NVC?

Thank You guys a lot in advance, highly appreciate the help.

Someone deleted a lot of information from the spreadsheet, but I think all has been restored from a backup. From now on, if you want to add something leave a comment on the spreadsheet and I'll add it. If you want to be a collaborator, just ask permission in Google docs.

No, now that your case is in NVC. and if your case is current means IR/CR1/Immediate Relative applicant that means you don't have to wait for Visa number becomes available coz, its always available. compare to family preference family of LPR. just be patient waiting for your case number for a while. NVC will give you new case number. and you can tract it on here https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?eQs=o/iS8zDpeAKjMWCuebHqOw==

My mistake. I think someone just used filtering function, so I thought data was deleted. Editing is open again!
