Well something worked because after only 50 minutes on hold I got to someone! Finally!!!!!!!!!

I was able to confirm my address to be my Costa Rican address. The lady also told me my file would not be transferred to a local office since my address is foreign. So I'll keep hoping for an early-ish NOA2!

That doesn't surprise me...nothing works there in a timely fashion. When it does it would be a miracle. rolleyes.gif

I have been lucky to be approved by June 17th, in addition i probably would have been approved faster if not for the payment issues i had.

they routed my payment incorrectly to another MSC for a adjustment of status case.

good luck to you all, it seems filing from abroad when the USC and beneficiary live together seems to be quicker than others --> what i noticed after reading many threads and posts here.

please update your timeline so the trends are tracked more accurately..

My husband followed up yesterday to the USCIS regarding any updates on our case and status on our application:

  • Update on the correction of my husband's second name - typo-error by USCIS. They corrected it and a confirming letter will be received next week. This will not affect our application for petition.
  • the status of our application is istill at NBC, bunch of applications received ahead of us, so we just need to wait but not longer than 6 months to get everything done.
  • My husband asked if there is anyway to speed up the process, the IO suggested to file 1-29F, once approved K3 visa will be issued while waiting for the 130 approval.

Seems like we need to be patient. We have a daughter and she is already US citizen with me living here in Canada and she will be one year old on Sept. It is a big event for us as parents, so we;re hoping to be together by then.

My Journey:

March 29, 2013 :PD Dec-20, 2013 USCIS approval date July 28. 2015 (F) (F) (F)Interview Date APPROVED.

random question: why do people who filed in March already start calling senators, getting infopass appointments, etc.? It's still within the time frame at the moment, isn't it?

I'm the beneficiary.

....................................................................................................................................................................

Don't have a timeline? Don't know how to get started with it? Do it for the statistics sake: VJ video guide

Filing for a USC spouse visa (IR-1/CR-1) and not sure what comes next? Check out the VJ IR-1/CR-1 guide

Want to know what's happening with your case? Here's the USCIS tracking page (get an account and see if the case's been 'touched'!). Don't get your hopes up though, some cases never even appear there despite being successfully processed.

We are just impatient and wanted to stay on top of our cases. Maybe we don't want to delay the processing even for one day. If we were to be told the correct answer and get notified in a timely fashion then probably we wouldn't be too worried about our case.
