Let us hope so. :)

Does anyone know the current processing time at NVC? I know nothing about that portion, with the exception of, there will be more money to pay, more docs to submit and more time to wait.

I have read horror stories of some who have had their cases in a "limbo", if you will, for like four months, when their case was transferred from USCIS, to NVC. ERGGGGG!!!!

Your post made me fall hard to the ground. Way along this process, I had given up hopes of getting together with my husband soon, but again with the recent transfer e-mail I started hoping and here I am with not even the snail mail of transfer. I feel it is justified that after nearly an year of waiting on just an approval, we all are entitled to breeze past the NVC stage. Waiting 9 months for an approval is unfair when applications before February 20, 2013 were approved around 4-5 months. What is worse is when approvals/transfers are finally happening, they are not following any order. The petitions with same PD as mine and even later PD got transferred weeks before mine and also got their approval. It suffocates me to think that I am at the mercy of this inhumane and unfair process and the sad part is I can do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about it. After the NVC, I have to endure the Mumbai Embassy and last time I checked, interviews are taking months to get scheduled. Somebody's got to raise a voice and say "Enough is enough."

When I had asked if anyone living abroad was transferred, I was asking from this list provided:

deescaff

Dreamermk

Parrish77

MrHopeful2013

Cpkupta88

I was wondering if anyone in the list, with a pd after march 22, lives in the US.

I ask bc, if I remember correctly, Parish, you are not living in the US, there was a discussion, some pages back, in this thread's pages, how ppl living abroad are getting processed faster.

Maybe there is nothing to my inquiry, But I was just wondering bc my pd is march 28, as parish, but it seems no one, from the vj list, with a pd after march 22, has transferred yet, with the exception of that small list. Does anyone know if all those applicants do or do not live in the US?

I hope I made sense. smile.png

I live in Indonesia (I'm the beneficiary) and my husband is a USC. He filed the petition in the US. And mine got transferred to Texas service center on November 8, 2013.

I'm from Indonesia (the beneficiary), and my husband is a USC.

USCIS

06/04/2011: Got married in Surabaya, Indonesia

03/10/2013: (Some time at these dates) Filed I-130 through a lawyer

03/25/2013: Priority date, NOA1

11/08/2013: Case was transferred to Texas Service Center

11/16/2013: Case update: "was transferred and is now being processed at a USCIS office."

11/25/2013: NOA2. Post Decision Activity: APPROVED (by Texas Service Center)

12/05/2013: Received NOA2 in the mail.

12/19/2013: "Shipped this approved or re-affirmed case to the Department of State for visa processing."

NVC

01/03/2014: NVC received our case work.

03/26/2014: Called NVC and they said that there's an error on the affidavit support and they didn't get copy of my passport. This case, I blame our lawyer.

Ahhhhh! Getting ever so close!! My initial hope was to hear something by tomorrow morning, but I had forgotten about the Federal holiday yesterday. So, what's one more day of this!!!! Ugh. Hey, the positive part is there is action and we have that to hold on to right now. :).

The NBC isn't in Texas. It's in Lee's Summit, Missouri. (And possibly Overland Park, Kansas, but maybe not.) What the transfers from the NBC have been getting are 3 emails. Once you get the hardcopy it should tell you to which Service Center you've been transferred. If you're impatient, call the USCIS and tell them you are confused and getting conflicting information. They will send you to a Tier 2, who should be able to tell you where your file actually is. Good luck!

We have to stay positive. I know it is difficult, as I keep falling into the negative.

Because of my husband's location, we are not even sure to which consulate he will be sent. If it is Jordan, it will be expensive to travel there. If it is Jersusalem, we are not sure if Israel will give him permission to enter the city.

So, let us just keep waiting and praying. It is all we have at this time.

The NBC is not in Texas. Texas is a service center. It got transferred from the NBC in Missouri.

Tier 2 is an actual immigration officer, instead of the Customer Service Rep you get when you first call the USCIS's 800 number. What you do, is call the regular USCIS number, and tell the person who answers the phone that you are confused about the conflicting information you received in your email. They will transfer your call to a person with more information and ability to find out information regarding your actual case. You might need to ask for a call back, but it's worth it. When they call you back, just tell them that you're confused, and ask exactly where your file is, and when it was received at the new location.

In the hard copy transfer letter I got, it says that it should be adjudicated within 60 days, and if it's not to call an get a service request started. But depending on where your case was transferred to, there appear to be different amounts of processing time, and all appear to be under 30 days as of now. But we'll really have to see more approvals before this can be verified by the members here.

There seem to be confusion where you are being transferred. There are only three places Nebraska, Texas or California Service Centers this is were all the transfers are going. This person has done a great spread sheet to show you what is going on. If you look on his spread sheet it show the average time from transfer to a NOA2 is 15 days or under but this was with fewer transfers. I am guess it will take a 20 to 30 days to see a NOA2 remember there are holidays come in this month just like Monday that closed the offices.

En-oh-eh-to now, on 11 Nov 2013 - 9:38 PM, said:snapback.png

March filers:

Here is the spreadsheet for transfers on Google docs. As you can see, there is a lot of key information missing. If you see any key information (transfer, location, NOA2) that you know to be incorrect, let me know by leaving a comment on the doc. I would provide an editable document that we could collaborate on, but as I mentioned before, some of the Excel 2010 functions do not work properly on Google Spreadsheets.
