I talked to tier 2 today at about 10:15 am central time. He told me that my case is still pending and it will take six months from noa1 to be approved. His answer was different than the one last I time I talked to.

They are just fooling us. I don't believe anything they say but I will continue calling them twice a week. Thats the only way I can find out what is going on with my case. Online status can not find my case. I hope one day I will be able to talk to tier2 who is not lying and tell me the truth.

Good luck to all of us.

Tier2 will tell you the same unless you find someone who can actually take his/her time to go through few screens and tell you exactly what is happening to your case. Good Luck!

KP & SP, such fast approvals are only obtained if the petitioner is living abroad with the beneficiary at the time of filing the I-130.

Most of the time YES, but there are also some who got approved about the same timeframe while not living abroad. Beneficiary's country might make a difference but who knows.

Yesterday I called and waited on hold for TWO HOURS. When the tier 2 answered the phone, they hung up on me. wow.gif

Today I called again and the representative straight up refused to transfer me to a tier 2. I asked him to just confirm that my change of address had been made. He looked and evidently even though there is an update that says an address change has been made, it hasn't actually happened!

Now, evidently their "system is down" and I need to call back in a few hours to get transferred to a tier 2 to figure this out.

What a freaking nightmare.sleepy.gif

That's right, this place is a mess. They won't tell you a thing...so much transparency from the government they keep blabbering about.

I am sorry to tell you guys but I filed the I-130 for my parent back in January and it still as not been approved yet. It was forward to my district office in February and has been there since! I can't tell you how frustrated I am. My congressman's office contacted the office and they said it is pending and will be processed when they get to it. Can you believe it? The assistant at the congressman's office even forwarded me the email they sent to her. It was very vague and abrupt. I don't know what is happening with USCIS but these I-130 should NOT be taking this long! We are US citizens!

Anyway, it is safe to say if my case is still pending and I have priority date of January 12, 2013 then that means those after me got a while to go, unless they somehow start speeding things up. There are exceptions for those people with their spouse who live overseas. Anyway, I just had to make this post because I see some people are stressing out about their petition that was filed in March and onward.

Yes, of course it is GOING to be shipped. That's standard procedure. The question is when. And even when it arrives at district office how long will it take to process? Mine has been at DO since February.

We shall see. All the best.

Smileorange - If you filled out your timeline it could help everyone tell better where you are and where the USCIS is in the process. We can track timelines status on this website. With your timeline filled in yours would be added to those stats. It seems you are unfortunate to be waiting so long for your approval.Hopefully you will hear something soon. From the people who have filled in their timeslines, 85% of January filiers have an NOA2. 55% of February filers have been an NOA2 and it seems this week there has been some activity for March filers.

Here is a link where you can track the timelines and see where USCIS is in regards to approving cases.

On hold waiting for a tier 2 currently. Today is "only" 90 minutes. Today also marks the third day in a row I have called trying to get an answer to just one question.

All I want to do is confirm my address change. Is that too much to ask? Holy geeze. dry.png

Well something worked because after only 50 minutes on hold I got to someone! Finally!!!!!!!!!

I was able to confirm my address to be my Costa Rican address. The lady also told me my file would not be transferred to a local office since my address is foreign. So I'll keep hoping for an early-ish NOA2!
