I keep seeing that people are talking to a Tier 2 officer, what is this, how do you talk to a tier 2 at NBC. My wife has called the 800 number for USCIS and the only person she can speak with doesn't seem to know anything. Can someone explain.

If the issue gets escalated then it goes to Tier 2. Tier 2 are not the front desk CSR who intercepts your call and give you the information you already know. Tier 2 have more knowledge about your case. You have to ask to be transferred to Tier 2, normally Tier 1 refuses to but you might have to demand politely.

Escalated?

Well maybe escalated isn't a right word I am looking for...basically if CSR can not answer your concern about your case then ask to be transferred to Tier 2.

I called Tier2 at 2:00 pm central time today and he told me to call back tomorrow as their system is down.

OK, I called about 8:30 AM and received a callback around 12:15 PM.

Mine was on the 11th and was told that "your case is in queue to be assigned to an officer" is this what you were told when you spoke with Tier 2?

Tier 2 called me and told me that it will take anywhere from 7 months to a year for I-130 to get approved.

Do they even have a clue what they are talking about? If it takes 7 to 12 months then why not all Tier 2 say the same? I am not asking for a general timeline I was asking for my own unique case. She must have had a bad hair day so I am not going to get stressed about what she said but I am very unpleased with her attitude.

All these people should know that WE "the taxpayers" bring food to their table so they should treat us with respect not try to get off the phone as soon as they can. I will keep calling everyday until I hear from someone who can give me a better answer. I am not expecting them to tell me what I want to hear but something logical and has a base to it.

I talked to tier 2 today at about 10:15 am central time. He told me that my case is still pending and it will take six months from noa1 to be approved. His answer was different than the one last I time I talked to.

They are just fooling us. I don't believe anything they say but I will continue calling them twice a week. Thats the only way I can find out what is going on with my case. Online status can not find my case. I hope one day I will be able to talk to tier2 who is not lying and tell me the truth.

Good luck to all of us.
