I got the second e-mail on November 7 at 9:45 p.m., which says:

"On November 7, 2013, we transferred your I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN, to your local USCIS Office for further processing. The new office has jurisdiction over your case and will send you a decision as soon as processing is complete or you will be notified if further information or action is needed."

My case's last updated date has changed from November 6 to November 7. Waiting for the I-797c to know where it was actually transferred. How long did it take for fellow VJers to receive the transfer notification in mail since receiving the e-mail and text notifications. Two cases were approved at 14 days and 10 days of transfer that I know.

 

 

I'm the beneficiary, wife of USC.
12/30/2012: Got engaged.
1/16/2013: Got married in India.

I-130:
2/28/2013: Attorney mailed the I-130 from a U.S. address.
3/4/2013: Priority date, NOA1.
11/6/2013: Case was transferred to Nebraska Service Center.

1/6/2014: 60 days of transfer are up, put in an e-request, given 30 days' time. Contacted the senator. Senator asked to wait till Feb 6 and if nothing then she will do something.
2/5/2014: Website status changed to RFE.
2/10/2014: Attorney gets RFE. They need G325A and photos of both me and husband, original marriage certificate, copy of marriage record and it's translation.
2/15/2014: Mailed the requisite documents to husband.
2/19/2014: Documents received by husband.
2/24/2014: RFE mailed.
2/26/2014: Case status changed to RFE review.
3/6/2014: After 367 days, NOA2.

After approval kept calling NVC but NVC always had one reply, file was not in their system. Husband too called USCIS National Customer Service Center and was told case was sent to NVC.
4/2/2014: Write to NSCFollowup to know about the status of the petition.
4/10/2014: Put in a ?service request with USCIS starting with OVP to locate case.
4/16/2014: Reply from NSCFollowup that the U.S. law prohibited that office from responding to anyone other than the petitioner and to have the petitioner contact them.
4/18/2014: Sent email to NVC Research to locate the case.
4/22/2014: Petitioner sent email to NSCFollowup
5/14/2014: Receive email from NVC Research that they do not have a record of receiving the petition.
5/16/2014: Congressman's immigration caseworker contacted supervisor at NSC who said the petition is pending and will be dispatched in two weeks.
5/27/2014: Petitioner received response from NSCFollowup that the case was pending an internal extended review. Really?
6/19/2014: USCIS case status change, "On June 19, 2014, we shipped this case..."
7/1/2014: Case received at NVC.
7/14/2014: NVC case number assigned.
8/1/2014: AOS and IV fees invoiced.
8/2/2014: AOS and IV fees paid.
8/5/2014: AOS and IV fees status changed to paid.
8/6/2014: AOS and IV packages mailed, completed and submitted DS-260.
8/7/2014: AOS and IV packages delivered to NVC.
8/8/2014: AOS and IV packages put into the system (scanned).
9/20/2014: Get the 60-day email.
9/30/2014: Case Complete!
10/3/2014: Interview scheduled for November 7.
10/20/2014: Medical appointment.

11/07/2014: Interview.

11/29/2014: POE JFK.

Congratulations! Did your approval letter mention anything about service centers? What was your Priority Date?

Please fill in your timeline when you get a chance.

National Benefits Center Lee's Summit MO was listed in the letter at the bottom by the bar code - Priority Date March 14th I believe - Nothing mentioned about service centers on my online approval just in the letter - online msc number search text is below. Let me know if you have any other questions - I hope this means others will receive their news soon!

On November 4, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

For approved applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include USCIS sending notification of the approved application/petition to the National Visa Center or the Department of State. For denied applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include the processing of an appeal and/or motions to reopen or reconsider and revocations.

OMG ..after 8 months of nothing news about my case and never since in online now i can see new.On November 7, 2013, we transferred your I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN, to your local USCIS Office for further processing. The new office has jurisdiction over your case and will send you a decision as soon as processing is complete or you will be notified if further information or action is needed. If you move, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address. Thank God im so happy hopefully approval coming soon

4 Nov 2013 - 1st email received: our file was transferred to another office

8 Nov 2013 - got the letter saying our file is in the California service center

I just got that text/email. On Nov 5, the notice said 'local office' then today I called and they said it was at the CSC. And now just got the 'at a USCIS office.' So your probably just arrived at the CSC, NSC, or TSC. Hopefully within a few weeks we all get an approval. If I were you I'd call tomorrow and talk to a Tier 2 rep and find out if they can see which SC you're at.

Jan 24, 2014 - Received checklist via email (said reviewed DS-260 and instructed me to send in civil documents). I called NVC to verify I can ignore checklist and they said yes, to ignore it.
Jan 27, 2014 - Called NVC and was told that our case is complete and that we're just waiting for an interview appointment date.
Jan 29, 2014- Called NVC and was told that our interview was scheduled for March 10, 2014. Also registered for St Luke medical exam online.
Jan 30, 2014 - Received P4 letter in email.
US Embassy (Manila) / Medical (St. Luke's)
- called embassy every day after the interview, during AP status and after visa status changed to "Issued," asking about status update and visa delivery timeframe
Feb 4-5, 2014 - Wife went to medical exam (took two days), results mailed to US Embassy in Manila.
Feb 7, 2014, Package sent from NVC to US Embassy in Manila (according to NVC phone operator).
Feb 10, 2014 - CEAC website updated case as "In Transit."
Feb 11, 2014 - DHL website shows case as delivered to US Embassy in Manila.
Feb 12, 2014 - Called US Embassy in Manila and interview rescheduled for Feb 25th.
Feb 25, 2014 - "Approved," but we have to submit CENOMAR then wait for visa after it's processed, so I guess technically it's in Administrative Processing (AP).
Mar 17, 2014 - CEAC website, visa status changed to "Issued." Now we wait for pickup/delivery.
Mar 21, 2014 - Juvy picked up visa from 2GO location, got CFO stamp, and I booked her ticket.
Mar 22, 2014 - Juvy left Manila, through Japan and Detroit, and finally onto Houston!! :-)
THE REST OF MY LIFE CAN NOW OFFICIALLY BEGIN!!!

Another disappointing week. This is shaping up to be local office fiasco of 2013, v. 2.0. Sure, you may argue that USCIS has transferred a bunch of files, but that's really no different than before: dumping a bunch of files on another office regardless of their capacity, and then hope that they adjudicate themselves.

Not impressed.

12/19/2014 - NOA2

01/15/2014 - NVC Received (TSC held it for 3 weeks...)

02/19/2014 - Case no. and IIN assigned; requested embassy change

My case's last updated date has changed from November 6 to November 7. Waiting for the I-797c to know where it was actually transferred. How long did it take for fellow VJers to receive the transfer notification in mail since receiving the e-mail and text notifications. I got emails on 10/31 & 11/1 (Friday) and I-797C in the mail Monday the 4th. I did not call to find out where my case was transferred.

I just checked my case status this morning and it says my case has been transferred to my "local office". I know that probably isn't the case based on what I've been reading here, people have been saying that they aren't going to local offices so hopefully I find out soon where it is exactly. I know it probably doesn't mean much but it's nice to see a change of some kind.

Married: October 23, 2012
Sent I-130: March 4, 2013
NOA 1: March 6, 2013
Case Touched: April 5, 2013
Case transferred to 'local office': November 7, 2013
Case transferred to USCIS office: November 8, 2013

Hardcopy notification that case is at Nebraska office: November 15, 2013

NOA 2: January 23rd, 2014 (email notification)

Case shipped to NVC: January 24th, 2014

NVC received case: February 6, 2014

USCIS admitted to creating two case numbers for us and giving us the wrong one: March 20, 2014

USCIS faxed RFE to us: March 20, 2014

Submitted requested forms three days before deadline: March 23, 2014

NVC Ready for our case: May 27, 2014

NVC allowing us submit all forms and pay fees: July 27, 2014

Greetings all

Just got two texts from USCIS (from 2 different numbers 15 minutes apart) and then one email that my case status has changed.

"On November 7, 2013, we transferred this case I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN to another office for processing and sent you a notice explaining this action. Please follow any instructions provided on the notice. We will notify you by mail when a decision is made. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283."

PD is 3/29

Is any one keeping track of the approvals after transfers and how long its taking after a transfer to get approved?

Another text/email this morning - transferred to local office

Well, as all of you probably do, I check our status with the USCIS website at least 3-4 times a day. This morning is the 3rd time it was "touched" in as many days (last time was yesterday, the 7th) and then I got a text last night saying the usual thing about "your case is being processed" only now it does not say "local office" it just says "office"...so I'm hopeful that something good will happen soon. Hoping, hoping...maybe something in the mail today. After 7 months and 21 days, 8 hours and 43 minutes...and I feel every. single. minute. of this separation.

I'm so hoping this happens soon. If so, what a grateful Thanksgiving it will be! What a good Christmas!

2nd update The I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN was transferred and is now being processed at a USCIS office. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283...hopefully the third will be an aproval.

Hello Guys,

I've been reading this forum for several months and joined in just a second ago. My PD is March 22, 2013 and last night Nov. 7 @ 7:15pm I received an email that my case has been transferred to "another" office for futher processing and then another email this morning Nov. 8 @ 7:30am that it has been transferred to my local office. I'm the petitioner living in the U.S, filing for my husband living abroad. Just wanted to shed some light and give more hope to those still waiting.....it's coming:)
