Hello my fellow March Filers!!

Ok, I got the notifications like everyone else but with my notice of transfer to CSC (booooo, the slowest out of the four) on 29 Oct. i also got something a little extra. I didn't pay attention til now but I got another piece of paper call "Supplement to I-130 Transfer Notice Issue by the NBC". It states something like this:

If you do not receive a decision or other notice of action from the service center within 60 days, please call 1-800-USCIS-Sucks (ok I made that number up, it is just their number) or submit an inquiry using e-request at
https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/Case.do

Did anyone get that extra piece of paper too? What you guys think it means? Perhaps they are moving mine up to the top part of the pile maybe? Any inputs is welcome.

Congrats Dreamermk and MVD on getting your approvals. Dreamermk, I cannot see your approval in VJ Timeline, I set the filter to show approvals only from NBC. Perhaps you weren't approved at NBC?

 

 

I'm the beneficiary, wife of USC.
12/30/2012: Got engaged.
1/16/2013: Got married in India.

I-130:
2/28/2013: Attorney mailed the I-130 from a U.S. address.
3/4/2013: Priority date, NOA1.
11/6/2013: Case was transferred to Nebraska Service Center.

1/6/2014: 60 days of transfer are up, put in an e-request, given 30 days' time. Contacted the senator. Senator asked to wait till Feb 6 and if nothing then she will do something.
2/5/2014: Website status changed to RFE.
2/10/2014: Attorney gets RFE. They need G325A and photos of both me and husband, original marriage certificate, copy of marriage record and it's translation.
2/15/2014: Mailed the requisite documents to husband.
2/19/2014: Documents received by husband.
2/24/2014: RFE mailed.
2/26/2014: Case status changed to RFE review.
3/6/2014: After 367 days, NOA2.

After approval kept calling NVC but NVC always had one reply, file was not in their system. Husband too called USCIS National Customer Service Center and was told case was sent to NVC.
4/2/2014: Write to NSCFollowup to know about the status of the petition.
4/10/2014: Put in a ?service request with USCIS starting with OVP to locate case.
4/16/2014: Reply from NSCFollowup that the U.S. law prohibited that office from responding to anyone other than the petitioner and to have the petitioner contact them.
4/18/2014: Sent email to NVC Research to locate the case.
4/22/2014: Petitioner sent email to NSCFollowup
5/14/2014: Receive email from NVC Research that they do not have a record of receiving the petition.
5/16/2014: Congressman's immigration caseworker contacted supervisor at NSC who said the petition is pending and will be dispatched in two weeks.
5/27/2014: Petitioner received response from NSCFollowup that the case was pending an internal extended review. Really?

Like many of us, I keep checking my status daily at the USCIS website. Previously, I didn't check on weekends, but after seeing an approval on Sunday, I now check on weekends too. My case hasn't been transferred so far. I hope it has been assigned to someone at the NBC itself and on the brink of an approval :).

I think the daylight saving has ended now and USCIS is now 11.5 hours behind my time zone, previously it was 10.5 hours behind.

Guys my case is now at a local field office..will I also get a letter in the mail explaining which local office?

All transferred cases have gotten this "local office" update but eventually ended up at one of the service centers.

Wait for your hard copy, I'd say...

i have got the extra piece of paper too....and my PD is march 15,,,transfered 1st of november to Texas service center....

Well, we just don't know yet. The good news is that it cannot possibly be worse than the NBC, if that gives you any comfort.

After we called and complain that its already 7 months and half they found the case posted on online and was mentioned that we got transfered to caifornia service senter on 25th OCt.

Yesterday I got email from them that I was approved on nov.4th and that they mail me a notice with instructions for further processing.

I sign up online through USCIS to geit email updates you can do it too.

Everything I've seen regarding the processing times shows, as of Aug 31, all of the regional service centers are working on cases from Oct 1, 2012, except Vermont which is about two weeks faster. I think they're just splitting a lot of the March backlog up in quarters, and sending to the other service centers, but that's just a guess. When I called today, the customer service agent said it was at a local office though, but she couldn't verify that (big surprise), so I'll call again tomorrow, and probably receive a different answer. She did say though that the local field offices should process the I-130s quicker though, since they don't normally handle those, so they'll want to get them in and out.

Jan 24, 2014 - Received checklist via email (said reviewed DS-260 and instructed me to send in civil documents). I called NVC to verify I can ignore checklist and they said yes, to ignore it.
Jan 27, 2014 - Called NVC and was told that our case is complete and that we're just waiting for an interview appointment date.
Jan 29, 2014- Called NVC and was told that our interview was scheduled for March 10, 2014. Also registered for St Luke medical exam online.
Jan 30, 2014 - Received P4 letter in email.
US Embassy (Manila) / Medical (St. Luke's)
- called embassy every day after the interview, during AP status and after visa status changed to "Issued," asking about status update and visa delivery timeframe
Feb 4-5, 2014 - Wife went to medical exam (took two days), results mailed to US Embassy in Manila.
Feb 7, 2014, Package sent from NVC to US Embassy in Manila (according to NVC phone operator).
Feb 10, 2014 - CEAC website updated case as "In Transit."
Feb 11, 2014 - DHL website shows case as delivered to US Embassy in Manila.
Feb 12, 2014 - Called US Embassy in Manila and interview rescheduled for Feb 25th.
Feb 25, 2014 - "Approved," but we have to submit CENOMAR then wait for visa after it's processed, so I guess technically it's in Administrative Processing (AP).
Mar 17, 2014 - CEAC website, visa status changed to "Issued." Now we wait for pickup/delivery.
Mar 21, 2014 - Juvy picked up visa from 2GO location, got CFO stamp, and I booked her ticket.
Mar 22, 2014 - Juvy left Manila, through Japan and Detroit, and finally onto Houston!! :-)
THE REST OF MY LIFE CAN NOW OFFICIALLY BEGIN!!!
