Well there is not much to worry by reading everybody's experience yet till your expectations elapse. The way I got out of the calls to NVC and USCIS is this, USCIS do not send individual cases to NVC and secondly NVC tells to wait for at least eight weeks when USCIS Approval notice tells to wait for at least 30 days before you contact NVC. Our case was approved on August 8th but it has not made to NVC yet. But contacting to the Senator or Congressman is way too ahead of the game. Good luck !!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Bing31ph,

When NVC received your Case did they send you a letter or email or you call them?ClockWatch2.gif

I called them that is why i knew that my papers were there already. They dont send notifications when they receive papers from uscis. in the firat place, i dont think they know our email addresses right away because when i called them for my case number and invoice identification number, they asked for the beneficiary and petitioner's email address, for input in their system. I dont know how nvc will be able to contact you if you dont inform them of your email address, maybe by snailmail, perhaps. And the first email or mail you're gonna receive from nvc will state your case number and invoice identification number.

Yes NOA2 is aug 8th... and NVC have not received my file. Hard to guess why ?????????? But once they said it is standard then what can we do? I called NVC three times and every call wait was longer than 22+ minutes but the response was 8 weeks wait now. I called USCIS and they said wait for 90 days before they can take any action. I agree we do need more patience.........

Hello There! I really need help getting my 8 yr old daughter here in the US. Petition has been approved on Febuary 2013 filed by a US Citizen.

She is outside the USA (Phillippines) to be specific. Until now NVC has not recieved the documents from USCIS and its already September 13th. I had called mutiple times went for an info pass appointment and all that I can possibble follow up and a lot of people advised me to contact the Senator or the Congressman which I will try after all this long wait but before I waste all my time putting together correspondence and emails from NVC and USCIS I would appreciate if someone could please let me know if contacting the Senator will speed up the process?

Hi guys! I'm the petitioner and I live in Daly City, CA. Just wanna ask who or where can I find a congressman and/or senator (though I much prefer a senator) that could help me with my husband's F2A visa application. I received the NOA2 approval last Aug. 29 and still up to now NVC doesn't have our case. I know it's still early to ask help but just incase 8 weeks had pass and still no reply from NVC atleast I have the documents etc. to be sent out to that congressman and/or senator. Thanks! Your reply is very much appreciated.

The office of my congressman is very proactive to inquire on our behalf. They will help you to find your daughter's approved petition.

"Have faith in God, Jesus answered. I'll tell you the truth. if anyone says to this mountain, Go, throw yourself to the sea, and that does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen. it will be done for him. Therefore I'll tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours" (MARK 11:22-24)

May I ask for the information for the office of the congressman you contacted? I am really tired of calling USCIS, no kidding it takes 90 mins to be transferred to an Immigration Officer who will only advise us to wait for 90 days then 90 days and so on. Info pass is not always available at the Los Angeles Office which I check everyday to get an appointment. Please and Thank You.

Usually, congressman office can only help those who are under their district. I live in Arizona. Here is the website to find your congressman in your area

Our I-130 got approved on Aug 15th.

Similar to many here, NVC has NOT received ours yet.

I spoke to Tier 2 operator at USCIS last week and was told that my application was still at USCIS.

She was nice that told me that she was going to write a service request about my case and I need to wait for two weeks.

So, it turned out USCIS is the one dragging their feet, thus there is no point of calling NVC at this stage.

Earlier this morning, I spoke to Tier 2 operator (different one) at USCIS again. She just mumbled about how my case would likely be sent out next week and hang up on me!

I will call Tier 2 operator next week if there is still no progress.
