On 9/11/13 I took my 2 children to Dr. Seiden's office 365 Bloor St, Toronto.

We tried to be there for 7am sharp, but ran into traffic...ugg! I do not miss the GTA!!!

Anyways, made it by 730 (parking lot behind the building charges $14)

Lady at front desk asked for Interview appt letter and told us to go sit in the waiting room .

there were approx 4 people ahead of us. After 30 mins or so we were called into a room where I had to fill out paperwork and pay the $150 fee for each kid. Hand over the Picture / passport / Birth certs. We were then moved into a room where my kids had their weight and height recorded. Then they were moved into the hallway to do the eye test (read letters off the wall). We went back into the room and doctor came in, asked a bunch of questions about their health and looked over their immunizations. Doctor checked their breathing and then said we are good to go and will have the results ready to go in 10 mins. Was provided the brown envelope for both kids and out we go....left around 9am!

Staff all very nice, the office very nice and organized. Overall a good experience!

Hi. I have a question about this: what is actually required of your medical exam in order to be able to immigrate? Surely you don't need to pass an eye test? Surely blind people can immigrate........

Isn't it a no-go just if you have a nasty communicable disease or something like that? Or am I wrong about that?

I'm not sure we are made aware of what would be considered symptons/diseases that would enable or prevent us from immigrating...i'm sure somewhere on VJ or the Gov websites it may say.
