Unable to reschedule - system problem?

Juliet could not make her Wednesday consular appointment because DHL lost the package. (after 8 days it's now in Hong Kong).

Since we waited till the last moment, we could not use the system to reschedule.

Currently at https://cgifederal.secure.force.com/confirmreceipt

We are still scheduled for Wednesday (yesterday) and cannot reschedule and get this message:

"

  • No valid record can be found for the entered receipt number. Please validate that your receipt number is correct and that you have paid the correct amount for the visa which you are applying for. [918865XXX] "

Should we wait and hope the system purges the Wednesday appointment?

I've found these numbers here at VJ: "** (214) 571-1600 or (646) 254-3546 (these are USA numbers)"

But both numbers are dead.

I've called DOS and get the 'ol "gotta wait..." (which translates in English to: "It ain't my job but this answer will make you go away so I can eat my doughnut.")

It's odd since the receipt number IS valid.

Does anyone know a valid Manila Consulate phone number to reschedule located in America?

Suggestions please.

I called the above number and got a "it's escalated and you'll have to wait (for an unknown period of time)" CS refused to let me talk to a supervisor telling me that they are "on the phone" and "not able to call me back." That's just about what I expected.

I'll wait till Monday and then involve my Senator/Congresswomen--maybe that'll help.

It's a pretty pathetic system.
