For the interview is it ok to have copies of forms or do they HAVE to be original signed? They already have originally signed forms of course but for interview is it ok to just bring a scanned copy of the forms? In case it matter, our interview is in Manila. Any help would be appreciated, thank you in advance

Genesis 2:22-24
Then the LORD God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man. The man said, "This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called 'woman, ' for she was taken out of man." For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh.

I've been trying to run down this question this week also as far as I can tell looks like scanned and emailed copies are ok you might want to sign with blue ink so it stands out a little bit but blank in for all the other question.

what forms r u talking about? f it s DS forms, then u have to bring the originally signed forms with the date as to when u prepared the forms..there r answers who can't be typed online but u can use a pen. Do not leave any blanks, put N/A or None to those questions who r not applicable to u..Good luck n ur interview!

I agree...if you're asking about the DS forms then yes...you should have the original signed form with you. All other forms that you sent in previously you need to take a copy with you.....which should be an exact copy of what you sent that would have your signature. Better to be safe than sorry....take copies of everything you've sent in and all originals now requested for the interview.

What we are trying to say is we got an interview at the US embassy (Manila) do I need to send an original copy of AOS packet and I130 packet to her (fiancée) for her interview? or is it okay a scanned copy only? Can anyone have a similar situation during the interview?

During my interview, I brought another copy of the I-864 (new version) bearing my husband's original signature, original copy of his employment certificate, scanned copy of his 2012 ITR, scanned copy of 2012 W2 and recent copies of his pay stubs as suggested by VJ members.

The Filipino pre-screener asked for these documents and she carefully reviewed all the data for the Affidavit of support. She kept all of the above documents except for the pay stubs.

Good luck. good.gif

The NVC will send your original documents to the USEM. However you can bring a copy of the I-130 and of the I-864 package with you. Also it's a good idea to print out the DS-260 with confirmation page and bring that with you as well to the interview.

Hi Memphis!

So, you mean they would still ask for the whole AOS package that was submitted to NVC?

Hi Memphis!

Yes, they STILL required the whole AOS package, your I-864 should have an original signature from your husband. Those were the only documents that the Filipino pre-screener asked from me and she kept it. She only browse through my original NSO documents and returned it.

Good luck.. its your turn soon.. smile.png

Thank you! :)

By the way, when you say original it has to be the exact form that my husband signed? Can it be scanned and printed? Or he should send the physical package?
