Hi everyone,

We really need some advice as our case was sent from NVC to the US Embassy in Paris on August 8th and we haven't received our Packet 3 yet! We are extremely nervous as we thought that everything was going to be faster now.

We called DOS and they told us that our hard copy visa documents were at customs and that the consulate has the electronic version of them but are waiting for the hard copy documents to arrive to send me Packet 3. It has been more than 1 MONTH now! When we called customs and the post office, they said that they didn't have anything in their possession. We then called NVC who said that they cannot do anything until the embassy acknowledges of the lost documents however, they don't seem to be much worried about it cause we sent so many emails without getting an answer and we can't call the embassy because the only number is for non related immigrant visas issues and it also costs 15 euros.

What should we do please?

Thank you so so much!

Thinking about it, I would call your senator or congressman.

You should also make an Infopass appointment ASAP

You can try calling this number to reach the embassy: +33 (0)1 43 28 00 86 . You will get a receptionist. Insist that you want to talk to a superior.

I am not quite sure a lawyer could do much for you at this point.

Good luck in your visa journey!

From the day we sent I-129F to the day I recieved my K-1: Exactly 9 months

Thank you for your help! We decided to fax them a letter on the 11th and as soon as they received it my status on the CEAC website got updated and I received packet 3 on Friday! It took us two months from the time we received our NOA2, we hope that packet 4 will arrive this week!
