Hi everyone!

Well, the notice has been sitting above my desk for a long time, and it's getting close to time for my hubby and I to file our I-751.

I'm confused though - we had our interview and all of our original AOS documents sent to our LOCAL Los Angeles office. Now everything I read tells me we should send our I-751 to the California Service Center. Is that right? Even though the local office dealt with everything else?

Also, the stamp in my passport is marked March 21, 2005. I counted back ninety days from that to get December 23rd. Is that the date we should file our documents?

Lastly, we have six close friends ready to submit their letters of testimony for us. Do these have to be notarized, or is their signature and social security numbers enough?

Any help would be really appreciated! It's been so long since we've dealt with this!

You need to send the form to your service center, not your district office, they do some processing at the service center (CSC), and only send it to your local office if they need to do an interview.

File within 90 days of the expiration of your conditional greencard

They don't need to notarize, just sign date, and PHONE number, not SS number. SS numbers are a private thing that should not be so willingly used in this way. They put their phone number on their letter, that way if someone at USCIS wants to call them and ask a few questions, they can. Edited by YuAndDan
