Sorry if this has been covered but I couldnt find anything that specifically explained what to do or why.

I'm with the group that was originally at VSC and was transferred in August to TSC. It seems there are some people who have updated their timelines and changed the service center to Texas, and some have kept it Vermont.

I know in the timeline section, it says to keep the original filing location, even if you had been transferred.

So, 1. Are you guys keeping the original service center, or changing yours to the new location.

and 2. Why are we "supposed" to keep it at the original location if our file is not actually at that location anymore?

Thanks for any help! I know the VJ timeline isn't something concrete that I should rely on, but it feels like its the only thing I really have to hold on to in this crazy waiting game!

I changed mine to texas so i could have a more acurate adjudication time

 

8/22/15 Received notice of interview "call in letter" for September 1st 8am

9/01/15 AOS Interview Houston-APPROVED!

9/01/15 Card in production, Welcome notice has been mailed

9/05/15 Welcome Notice Received

9/08/15 Greencard was mailed

9/10/15 GREENCARD RECEIVED!!!!!!!!

6/2/17 mailed I-751 to csc priority mail

7/1/17 I-751 returned rejected (multiple items)

7/3/17 I-751 mailed again with signature confirmation

7/6/17 second I-751 delivered and signed for by Daniel Manchaca

7/10/17  Check Cashed

7/10/17  NOA

7/22/17  Biometrics letter for 8/2/17

8/02/17 Biometrics appointment DONE

3/05/18 case moved to local office

8/25/18 Extension letter (18 months)

9/29/18 service request submitted

I had changed mine to Texas and then changed it back to Vermont after reading about the "do not change" comment in timeline. Texas is receiving its own applications as well as transfers. I think that must be the reason for the do not change service center in timeline.


But, you can always update the comments about your transfer for others to follow.

7th Nov, 2014 - AOS, EAD, AP applications mailed to Chicago

10th Nov, 2014 - Applications delivered and Receipt Date

14th Nov, 2014 - NOA1 Date

20th Nov, 2014 - Received NOA1 hard copies

29th Nov, 2014 - Letter for Biometrics Appointment. Appt date - 12/10/2014

1st Dec, 2014 - Walkin biometrics done

13th Dec, 2014 - RFE email followed by Hard Copy on 12/19/2014 for Marriage Certificate

20th Dec, 2014 - Mailed RFE response with certified Marriage License and Certificate

21st Feb, 2015 - Received notice of potential interview waiver by mail

2nd Mar, 2014 - email received for EAD approved
