Hello All Cambodian K1 petitioners!

I have seen many of the Cambodian members whose fiance(e) went through interview at the embassy in Phnom Penh already.

I would appreciate your sharing of the good/bad experiences and any tips you think might be helpful to others who are waiting to go through the same process.

Thanks

I read almost all the review post in the consulate review section. And like Savath had mentioned the most recent was for an interview done back in April 2013. Within the last 2 weeks there were at least 3-4 couples on VJ that had their interview at the US embassy in Phnom Penh and I too would like to read their experience/review.

There's some question that has been lingering on my mind that I would like to ask those who just went through with their interviews in Phnom Penh.

1. What was used to put all the paperwork together? I've read that they don't allow binders and with the amount of documents the embassy request it can get messy if it's not organized.

2. All the paper work (originals) that you brought to the interview, was that ALL given back or did they take some and return some? I know I can make copies and keep them for myself but it's nice to have the originals for my file as well. I'm just curious if they only want to see it and then allows you to bring it all back after the interview.

3. How soon can the visa be picked up once the interview was passed? I read on the embassy website that visa are issued on Fridays only. This is apply to interviews that was passes on a Thursday?

Thanks you ALL for sharing your input. Goodluck on the rest of your journey!
