What is an "original copy"? It's either an original or a copy.

oh i mean documents like birth certificate & NBI should not be photocopy only?

I'm sure it would be easy to have original CENOMAR and NBI clearance, since you get them right there. But the only original document required from the USC is the I-134. Everything else can be a copy, not even notarized, as far as I remember. I can't remember for sure about the letters of intent to marry... they might need original signature too.

LOI needs to be original as well..... IF the CO even asks for it. We still have those letters, and I have read of quite a few here on VJ that still have their LOI after the interview. Just the same it would be good for the petitioner to send an new LOI.

From the instructions letter:

k. EVIDENCE OF A GENUINE ENGAGEMENT. You must be prepared to prove to the consular officer that you have a genuine relationship with your petitioner and a clear intention to marry within 90 days of admission into the U.S. In the past, successful applicants have submitted photographs, letters, e-mails, phone records, bank records, and remittance records as evidence supporting their relationships and intent to marry.

IMHO the Filipina doesn't really need one as she signs that exact statement is in the 156K in front of the CO during the interview. (but it's one little sheet of paper, so until there is a serious track record of it not be asked for... do one up)

Yes they are, but LOI has long been listed here on VJ and the way the instructions letter reads they are a good idea, just not asked for by the CO all the time.

... new place new demands. ;)

Thanks. Looks like, for now, then, that the DS 260 is still not a requirement.
