Hi everyone,

I'm new here on this forum. Would appreciate if anybody could help me with this specific question. It's about one of the J-1 Trainee program restrictions I found on: 22 CFR \ PART 62 - EXCHANGE VISITOR PROGRAM \ § 62.22 Trainees and interns:

(j) Sponsors designated by the Department to administer training and internship programs must not:

[...]

(3) Engage or otherwise cooperate or contract with a Staffing/Employment Agency to recruit, screen, orient, place, evaluate, or train trainees or interns, or in any other way involve such agencies in an Exchange Visitor Program training and internship program.

I'm currently in the situation where I received an offer for a traineeship of 12 months with a Fortune 500-company. They want me to work with one of their staffing agencies for all admin, I would need to submit the J-1 Visa request with that staffing agency as the host company, as that will also be the company that pays my stipend.

Does anybody have experience with staffing agencies as the host company of J-1 trainees?
