Thank u everyone! And to those in AP I hope that you all will hear something very soon! I understand your frustrations and the advise that I can give is to try and take your mind off of it even though I know it is hard. Once he and I decided to let things run its course since nothing can be done before its time, that when the status changed from AP to Ready than to Issued! I wish everyone in this journey blessings and pray that you all get your visas as well!

i had fiance visa interview on Aug 30 and they approve me K1 the visa , and they told me to pay visa fee and i did , and they asked me which Abyssinia bank branch near to me to take the visa(Abyssinia bank is the one who deliver visa when visa issued in US embassy of Addis ababa) , and i told them which is the nearest Abyssina bank, and they appointed me for one week(sep 5) to take the visa , i went to the bank to take the visa but they told me that they didn't received it yet from the US embassy , now almost one week passed but yet the bank still keep telling me that they didn't received it and i heard that the ppl who got interviewed 5 days after mine they already got their fiance visa, and its makes me to be a bit worried , what will be the reason taking this much time ? do i need to go to the embassy and check the status ? please advice me on this

Congrats!! Love good news. Question, what did you send back for packet 3 besides the DS230?

Thank you sureshot53! For packet three we had to fill out 2 forms of ds-156k, ds-157, medical questionnaire form, and ds-230... I might be missing something else but I know for sure u can get the forms from the embassy website, hope this helps

oops sorry we only sent back the ds-230 form so that he could get his interview scheduled and the other forms he brought with him on the day of the interview with the exception of the medical questionnaire form as that was he had to take that with him to do his medical.

OMG!!!! I am sooooo excited as I have just called DOS and was informed that my fiance's visa was issued today!! Finally, it has been a long time coming but now we can finally book his ticket for him to leave JA! I screamed on the phone with the rep when she informed me as I couldn't hold my composure! Can't wait to see my hunny at the airport when he arrives!
