hello! good day! I am a k1 visa applicant. I had my interview last September 3, 2013.The interview went smoothly til consul scanned our physical file. She stopped and read the IBIS memo about my fiance's background check (which i saw) then she asked other consul about my fiance's hits. I knew about that coz embassy sent me that IBIS memo together with eligibility letter. It says n the memo "hits related to US citizen and the information is not related to fraud or national security". Fiance told me that he had a drinking and driving offense last 1995 and was arrested last 2007 bcoz he was beyond child support but he paid it all and case was dismissed. After discussing, she asked one more question about any wedding plans (which i answered right away) and told me that my case will be put under administrative processing. I was asked to go back to my seat and wait for my name to be called for explanation. The Filipino guy explained to me that case will be forwarded to Washington for internal checking. He advised to call or email embassy if i havent received my visa yet. I was really devastated and completely sad. I didn't expect it to happen since i was really well-prepared and our papers were complete and ok. I've been updating my app status n ceac.gov.state. Yesterday, it changed from AP to ready. Anyone here who have the same experience? what do u mean by 'ready'? cray5ol.gifshocked.gif

My interview last august 23 has IBIS hit also, its about my J1 visa before. I am told that I will put under further review also and they will send my case to the immigration to check again. and everytime I will check my status on ceac it says READY, ready for the interview, it doesnt change since my interview. can i ask what was your ready mean? coz as far as i know there are two kinds "of ready status", one for the interview and one means its an open case. And usually after ready status (open case), next will be ISSUED. Goodluck and I know how frustrating it is. Hopefully after 2 days it will be ISSUED!

I'm pretty sure it means that you are now not in the Administrative processing stage anymore and since it's in the "ready" status like many other people the next stage SHOULD be issued. :)

Normally processing of the visa after the interview can be up to two weeks. With AP it can be a couple more weeks or even a month +.

If the status is showing READY I would tend to think you best be checking the status on the embassy website along with CEAC and very soon 2GO.

Don't stress... see what shows up tomorrow for status.

Our case on CEAC has said "Ready" for the last 10 or so days, and then last night it went to "Administrative Processing." I hope it says "Issued" next time I check.

This is like deja vu! All over again (lol!). Reminds me of NOA's 1&2, etc.

Don't give up. Prayerfully your case will be get out of purgatory and arrive soon!
