I was just wondering.

I give whenever it is possible. My church is always having food, and clothing drives...for the neighborhood.

But during the Holiday season it seems like charities are coming to me for donations from all directions.

I gave to quite a few charities this year. I think I gave more this year than any other year.... I've given to all of my usuals the Only one I have left to do is Toys for Tots.

We donate clothes in good condition a few times a year, money to several charities off and on throughout the year, and to the Toys for Tots program as well. A few times during the school year the boys schools have food drives and we participate.

I also collect BOX TOPS from General Mills to the school during the whole school year. The tops are submitted to the company and the schools get checks once or twice a year and the money is used for school supplies and equipment. Anyone interested in the program here is the link. http://www.boxtops4education.com/index.aspx

I give my yearly alms to my local religious center. Plus I donate all our clothes and shoes that we cannot use anymore to various places, like our local religious, homeless women's shelter and Salvation Army.

I volunteer alot at my daughter's school (but I am not sure if that counts here on this post)

I always give children, that are less fortunate then us toys for the Holidays. And everytime I go shopping give my change to those charities they have at the check-outs. But I know I could be doing more.

I donate clothes to the Goodwill Industries. Since my wife arrived last year she prepares all meals fresh, I donated all cans and boxed food to our food drive. She does not believe in using processed or can food.

I give a few times a year to the Salvation Army, Goodwill, etc. This year, we are sponsoring 2 less fortunate kids from the "wish tree" here in town. We've bought them some clothes and toys and are giving them to the organization to give to them for Christmas. It's been so much fun picking out stuff for them!
