I just called the us embassy someone might get confused in filling up under Family information:

Mother's Surnames: should be the married name na ( as info appearing in her passport)

Mother's given names: her name and her family name

I am printing the ds 260 and checking it again and again...since this is online...one mistake might cause a lot of delays...l

Also, make sure you have a hard copy of ds 260 and it's confirmation page....

On my DS260, I put my mother's name at birth, as it was asked on the DS230. wacko.png

I guess yes....cuz I called the us embassy they said whatever in your family's information appears in the passport should be the same info in your ds260.

Better contact nvc in your case..since you submitted it directly to them

That's what I asked them in the embassy a while ago...I told them that I am comparing the ds230 and ds260 while filling up the ds260 online....I asked them that in ds230 they are asking the mothers name at birth while in ds260 it doesn't have any instruction if it's at birth or not....they said whatever your mothers information that she is using right now...that is the info u will put in ds260

Anyway, my mom is not immigrating naman since this is a spousal petition (mine). They can just verify it on my NSO BC and the DS230 that I submitted.

Pero if ever you are still on doubt..kindly call the embassy on this number 3012166 then ask the girl to connect you to immigrant visa section....just ask that you have an inquiry in doing your online ds260 application,.l

Yeah.

I just followed how I answered the DS230 because on the DS230 it specifically asked for Mother's Family Name At Birth, First Name, Middle Name.

If u are sure of the error made, the operator will make a request so that they will "unlock" your ds260 and you can edit it. That's what I was told a while ago when I called NVC.

Unfortunately, he said it will take another 20-30 business days daw to process again which makes me wonder if waiting for a checklist would be a better option.
