My fiancee completed her interview at the U.S. embassy in Manila today. The consul requeted that I re-submit some forms:

-US FEDERAL INCOME TAX RETURN FOR YEAR OF 2012

- W-2 FORM(S) FOR YEAR(S) 2012

- AFFIDAVIT OF SUPPORT FORM I-134

EVIDENCE OF CURRENT SUSTAINED INCOME

OTHERS: "A MUST IN ORDER THAT YOUR REQUESTED VISA WILL BE GRANTED"

-

YOUR PETITIONER'S US NOTARIZED LETTER ACKNOWLEDGING YOUR THREE CHILDREN

WHAT TO DO NEXT :

SUBMISSION OF REQUIRED DOCUMENTS : Please use the 2GO courier service to return document to the IMMIGRANT VISA UNIT. Information on the procedure may be found at http://supplychain.2go.com.ph this service is free of charge

WARNING : THE LAW REQUIRES THAT YOUR CASE BE TERMINATED IF YOU TAKE NO ACTION ON THE ABOVE REQUEST

I have some several questions.

I'm here in the U.S.A., so that rules out my using 2GO courier, does it not ?

The affidavit of support requires my original signature and the notarized letter requires an authentic notary seal, so these facts rule out my emailing and her printing the forms, do they not ?\

Where would I send these forms and documents ? What address ? And would U.S.P.S. be an acceptable courier?

Any other info would be helpful.

You're right......send it directly to USEM, instead of thru your fiancee then 2GO...(save 2-3 days)

The address:

U.S. Embassy

1201 Roxas Boulevard
Manila, Philippines 1000

Personally, I would use FEDEX that way you can track it all the way to the person who signed for it. I've sent documents thru FEDEX on Monday and received Thursday of the same week. Will cost you $$$ though.

Best of luck to you!

Yes, since the I-134 requires an original signature you cannot scan and send, some say to sign in blue ink, I guess to "prove" that it's original, though in reality a color copier is almost undetectable.

Notary seals are often (maybe usually--maybe always?) impressed seals--where there is a male and female die thus creating a raised pattern--this naturally cannot be photocopied.

Doesn't the 221-G tell you where to send the docs? You could always mail them to your fiance who could then use 2Go as a courier but I'm not sure there is any advantage to that.

Yes, USPS could be an acceptable courier though there are many, many instances of things being lost for months. FedX does not seem to be a lot better. DHL has a better reputation but the package that I sent to Juliet on last Wednesday which I was assured (at quite a cost) that it would arrive for her in Manila within 3 working days, for some reason sat in the Boston office for 5 days leading us to having to cancel today's embassy visit.

For 3 day service there appears to be no reliable service. But I'd still rank DHL then FedX, then UPS then USPS.

Did you not have an I-134 with last years 1040 + W2s?

Where would I send these forms and documents? You send it to your fiancee. What address? Your fiancee's address. And would U.S.P.S. be an acceptable courier? No because their counterpart here in the Philippines is PhilPost which is NOT very reliable. Use other couriers like FedEx, United Parcel Service or DHL.

Any other info would be helpful. Once your fiancee receives those documents, she mails it to the US Embassy via 2GO. She should follow the instructions indicated in the 221g form.

I would not use the postal system as its PhilPost at that end. Use UPS, DHL, or such.

Yes please clarify I was told by NVC on the phone that orginal AOS and tax transcripts and pay stub W2 and 1040 and W2 would be sent to embassy and to just scan and email to my wife a copy so she has it. but on Manila embassy instructions says

8. Form I-864 Affidavit of Support (AOS): (I'm IR Visa) The I-864 AOS is required for visa applicants in the IR, F and certain E visa categories

Did you submit an I-134 all ready before? this has me worried but about my case maybe I need to get a package ready to go via DHL or Fed-Ex and I'll sign in Blue Ink.

My fiancee doesn't have any children, but she has 3 very young cousins whose mother abandoned and whom she cares for like a mother. On the I-134, I indicated she didn't have any children. However, on another form, she claimed them as hers with the hope of one day bringing them to U.S.A. This discrepancy is the source of the problem. I did submit ttax transcripts, and w-2 forms with the affidavit of support, but now I'll have to re-submit those documents as wel as a notarized letter acknowledging those children.

Which brings me to my next question: How should this notarization be done ? Do I take a simple letter saying I acknowledge these children and then sign it in front of the notary and have him stamp it ? I don't have any experience in legal matters.

That is a tough one if just the Embassy I would think a regular notary would be ok now if the Philippine govt. is getting involved you may need a Apostille notary best bet would be to call and ask I'm not a lawyer.

Was there an issue with your original I-134? I assume you sent one, the original you signed, prior to her going to the interview? Strange that they are asking for another one.

Everything can be emailed except the I-134. That being said, since you are sending the I-134, a few extra pieces of paper shouldn't cost much more, it any. A notary can stamp the paper as opposed to the old-fashioned crimp-style stamp. There are less and less of the crimpers around, in my experience.

I-134 is for K-1 visa, not IR/CR-1.

If your fiancée has not adopted those children, they are not hers. You can not petition those children as a K2 . "like a mother" is not the mother.
