Which region or country gets the most help on VJ?

I noticed that all the help on VJ is NOT equal .

Different countries and different regions get more help than others .

Just curious ...

Do you get the help you need when you post a question on VJ?

I think it would be by the amount of members in that forum so they would get more ppl being able to reply to the questions. For example lately the Canada forum is slow not a lot of regulars on as much but we do still help out when we are online. Some members from other regions also pop in from time to time to help out if they can.

I say the regional forums should be deleted. There is not point in congregating with people from your country, to me, when most of the questions are the same for all countries. Sometimes there are some specific consulate issues, but there is a consulate forum.

I like the Canadian forums... Where we can talk about things like poutine and it's availability south of the border also, it's a way (for me anyway) feeling a little less alone...I mean come on this week I've got a Calgarian and an Airdrie-an doing their interviews...that's two people not far from me (heck, I work in Calgary and generally shop in Airdrie lol)

I disagree, the regional forums serve a great purpose in handling the regional specific questions and problems. The regional forums are also a way to weed out incorrect information by people from other parts of the world who's cases are different. For instance, I have knowledge in what was involved in immigrating my wife here from Canada, but I have very little knowledge of what's involved in immigrating a RUB or PI woman to the states, so I don't go in those forums offering advice, because it would probably be wrong.

What I mostly see is people circulating incorrect advice in the regionals. There is little difference between immigrating from Russia or Canada. The procedures are similar, the only difference being how the embassy contacts you/where you get your medical etc. There is a portal filter to help people with country-specific advice.

I disagree. Russia doesn't do EP. Only recently is everyone doing online forms, before that Canada was one of the few countries that had both an optional EP and Online forms.

A lot of the questions in the Canada forum at least have to do with importing vehicles, the medical exam, and specific questions asked for by either consulate for K1. They're really Canadian specific questions. Why clutter a general forum with all that? Why have a Filipino and Canadian arguing about which website to book an interview for with k1 or sign up for passport return? The Philippines is the only country I know of with cenomar and CFO as well. It's nice that the people from high fraud countries have a place to discuss problems they may encounter during this whole process. I like them.

The consulate and embassy forum is still a generalized forum and sometimes people need some specific advice. The portal only works if someone has started a topic, not posted on another one as well. I'll be honest, I rarely use it.

But to each their own.

I agree that the regional forums serve a very important function... For example, cluttering up general forums with info about CENOMARs, NEXUS, VWP specific questions or issues specific to hight fraud countries is a distraction... Better to put them in their own section so they can get specific answers. It is also a place for people to ask questions about adjusting, Tampo, shipping, best place to buy ethnic foods, religious issues... Anything that you might want a knowledgable person specific to your country or region to answer for you. Keep the upper forums easier to navigate for general info...

I agree the regional forums are important and do serve a purpose. I also agree many are asking the same questions but are from different countries...

It's frustrating sometimes because we all need help but we don't get the help we need on VJ.

LOL...sometimes it feels like no one cares about you or your question/country....unless they are from your country and again if they are from your country they need just as much help as you....Unless...they are a senior member and they are amongst the true veterans of VJ.

I also rely heavily on the advanced search tool. That is the closest I get to getting answers to my Visa questions. I must say though if you really want help from the ones who know best you must IM directly on VJ. I have also done that and received many responses regarding my issue. Sometimes the guru's don't know you need help unless you reach out to them.
