It doesn't hurt to call the DOS. It's not like it will affect anything :) I'm not sure about wait times for your specific visa, or how it's supposed to go, but I know it doesn't hurt to call the DOS ;)

Here is the DOS phone number:1-202-485-7600 To get to a visa specialist press 1 then 0.

Once P3 has been sent, for the sake of your own sanity give it at least a week before you start calling about it. Again, Montreal is notoriously slow processing documents so there’s no use fretting if you know it’s physically there and it still hasn’t been logged. At this stage, you’re back to calling DOS. They’re open M-F from 8:30am until 5, except for Wednesday’s when they’re closed from 11:30-12:30.

-You’ll want to ask them if P3 has been logged. If it hasn’t, you’ll have to keep calling.

-Once they tell you P3 has been logged, you’ll ask if Packet 4 has been sent out yet? If it has, you will be eligible to schedule your interview.

Note: There have been a LOT of cases of people getting incorrect information from DOS at this stage. Every consulate is different, so even if a representative tells you that your interview will be scheduled for you, this is not the case for K1s right now. As soon as P4 has been sent, you are about to schedule.

Hi again

Thank You so much for your information , i really appreciate it . I just finished to talk to an agent . I didnt have to wait too long . But that lady wasnt really helpful

i asked her if my package has been received it and she said no .. That it is in Montreal? but hasnt been received yet ?? She was about to hang up the phone on me.

I am a little worried. I sent this package through a Loomis Service here in London ( ON ) . According to tracking it says that has arrived succesfully in Lachine City in QB

on 04 - 09 -2013 ..But why this woman says that they havent received it yet ..

Confused!

Hey there,

So is this the address that you sent the package to: 315 Place d'Youville Suite 500, Montreal Quebec,

H2Y 0A4.

If so, I do not think that Lachine City, QB is the end stop. If you check DHL it should say that someone has received the package. It will say for instance "J. Doe has signed for said package." If it does not then it has not arrived at the Consulate yet. Look at my profile for our I-129F timeline.

This is proof that the Consulate has recieved the package. I received P4 3 days after sending my P3. Do not know what to suggest here. I would keep calling DOS to see if P3 has been logged. If I am wrong someone else please post so.

thanks again for your feed back friend !

I know it is a little overwhelming that they havent given any sign . At least i have hope that it has been received and it isnt lost somewhere on space.

But i wonder that the reason for why they proceeded with your faster is because of the fact you are a canadian or your fiance was . Im currently living in ON but i wonder if my denial 7 years ago could affect me now .

just thinking out loud .

What was the reason for your denial 7 years ago and what visa were you denied?
